I am looking at a TL S currently and had a question about their headlights. The one I am looking at has headlights that are different from the other headlights I looked at. It dosent have the ring around the DRL like the other ones and kinda looks like the base, but is painted black inside like the S.

Heres a pic, What do ya think? Looks like a repair?

 

i can say.. the cars not type S.... look at the lower bumper + fogs... its BASE BUMPER... u can tell by the foglight corners.. type s. basically flipped upsidedown... and also.. those arent type S headlights... its CHINA (CDM) headlights, or they are 04-06 headlights. blacked out , with the type s Diffusers...

UNLESS..... its been in an accident, and they replaced all the parts.. with cdm headlights, and base bumper? i think i am right.

but most likely , its a base TL. with CDM headlights and type S wheels



Edit : theres also type S side skirts.. so i would say, the whole front has been replaced?

 

It is a type s, just probably salvaged. It has type s taillights, wheels, steering wheel, seats, dash lights, carbon fiber trim, and door upholstery.

those are definitely not type s headlights

 

The best way to determine if its a typeS is to look at the engine or exhaust (quad pipes)

 

those are defintly CDM headlights and a base 07-08 bumper instead of the type s bumper. car must have been in an accident. best bet is to look at the engine and make sure its that 3.5L and not the 3.2L

Yea, Type S's are out of my price range, but when I saw this I had to investigate. O well, back to looking at g35 coupes.

I tried looking at G35 coupes too, the TL just kept on dragging me back to it with it's nicer interior. I have no will power turns out.

 

i think this is not even a 07-08 base, look at the brembos i thinks 04-06 6mt
