I searched but could not find clear answers. Does anyone know what exterior parts are needed to make a 2004 Base TL convert to a 2007 Base TL?

 

afaik, 07-08base wheels, 07-08 side mirrors with turn blinkers, 07-08 taillight and 07-08 front and rear bumper.

 

Yup. Along with lower fogs and different headlights that feature DRLs. Some wiring will be required for the conversion.

 

New Front bumper including grille pieces and fog-lights.

2007 Base TL split 5 spoke rims
2007 Base TL Blinking side mirrors
2007 Base TL Badges, it's straight on ours italicized on 07+

2007 glass (says acura, ours say honda)

 

OK only part I'm confused on is the grille. I know that I need a new chrome one but the grille behind that one can I leave it or do I need a new one?

Also for fogs and Drl do you guys thing I should have an independent button installed for fogs and make the fog light switch for our yr become DRL? or other way around?

 

grill is different, You have to change the whole bumper and grill. The chrome trim piece will be ok, but yea you also have to do headlights, tailights, markers, mirrors, chrome decklid trim, carbon fiber look licence plate trim, I think that is about it but other members will probably have more input or disagree.

The base TL does not have a chrome grille. it has a satin finished one just like on your TL. The new bumper will come with the Satin pieces if you buy the whole package. If not, the satin pieces are easy to get and will go onto the new bumper without a problem.

Yup, if you look at them, the look italicized versus the ones on the 04-06 TL. This was probably done to have the Type-S badge flow better on the TL-S's.

 

I guess the OP has a method to his madness. It's cheaper to convert to a UA7 exterior than to just buy one outright.
