Dr. TLS
Pop. Mech had a piece on the TL stating it would be 3.5L and 280 HP. However, there's a good chance that both Edmunds and Pop. Mech are wrong, given how many times the information in both have been wrong.

Honda is NOTORIOUS for underrating some of their cars. The new V6 Accord puts out closer to 250 something HP instead of 240. The new TL will probably make about 285 or a bit less.
The 3.2 NSX makes closer to 310 rather than the 290.
I could go on but you get the point.
To quote someone at Honda... "Our horses are healthier"

For what it's worth - my dealership said their sales manager is going to a "first drive" meeting this week for the TL and should come back with factual info that he will tell me next week. Has anyone else heard about this "first drive" thing? I have no idea where it is taking place.

Honda uses equal length half shafts to get rid of 95% of the understeer. Its still there, but its like being in a Lexus LS430 and listening for noise, its there but damn is it ever quiet

an Acura has-been
Yes, where is the scan, if it is a whole page, there must be even more info than just HP.
Edmunds has posted 280hp since late June (maybe longer) so do not go by that number.

The tried not to invest too much money and that is why they were still selling new cars with faulty Transmissions, but since they were building a brand new generation and they had the money, so I am pretty sure they would have got a whole new tranny.. Specially if the engine is a 3.4 L

The '04 TL makes 238 ft. pounds of torque and 270 hp.
As for Cadillac, they used a system similar to what the Prelude has/had in the SH model, sending more power to the outside wheels when necessary, making FWD far far better for performance driving.
