Credit where credit is due.
You called it.
I didn't think any amount of bad driving would overcome his HP/TQ advantage.
Seriously though, be careful out there. No matter how good a driver you are, you can't predict how others on the road are going to act/react.
You get dodging in and out of traffic, even at fairly modest speeds, and somebody unexpectedly changes lanes into you and you're both toast.
You called it.

@DirtyJohn, is that 108 leaded? I've only seen up to 104 in unleaded.

UNTUNE!! may not be safe but its not like youre doing it all the time
just something i learn hehehe..
When i was dynoing my TL on Nitrous a long time ago i had 314 whp on pump gas so eddie who owns this machine shop told me to go buy 4 octane booster and pour it in the tank! (I WAS ALMOST FULL) RAN It on the dyno twice! I got 319 whp and then the last one was 318!

Anyways, whoa, that eclipse driver really sucks eh? hahaha he probably shifted up at 5000rpm or something!

You typed 0.4-0.5 which is exactly the same. I would think you'd know that, being a mechanical engineering student!
.04 or .05 would be 4/100 or 5/100, which is certainly plausible.

FYI, the higher the octane level of the gas, the slower the fuel burns. High octane fuel does not have any more energy than regular fuel. To make the most power, you want a quality correct octane fuel that wont make the engine ping or knock.
A high compression engine causes the fuel to burn faster, resulting in the pistons being hit hard, like a hammer, when the fuel ignites. High octane allows the fuel to burn more evenly, allowing a high compression engine to develop more power.
BUT!
Higher octane fuel offers no advantage to low compression engines.

Racing tracks should have racing gas. When I went to Laguna Seca they had 98 and 101 or something like that, don't remember exactly, don't remember if it was unleaded either.
People with 7G AV6s say they put higher octane gas and got dyno-proven gains but there's a point where it won't do much. That point ends where stock cars begin.

Cutting someone off just to change lanes isn't worth the potential repair bill or the ticket or higher insurance.

Warning: For Honda fans this may be disturbing.
Race Gas makes a big difference especially for this modded RX-3.
First run -> 10.48
Second Run with Race Gas -> 9.58
10.48 - 9.58 = 0.9

if thats the same one. You are screwed. 260 torque and 263 HP. Thats like in the g35/350z/3rd gen TL-S league.
Just dont race him and flake on him. HAhaha its better than getting humiliated by the whole school + pay for his gas. lols.

if your automatic you wouldn't stand a chance against those. they do 0-60 in 5.8 seconds. second gen TL-s does 0-60 in 6.1. I raced my friends GSR from 0. He kept up with me till 10 MPH and i pulled so bad on him. He had all bolts on possible i only have CAI/exhaust. i have a video somewhere didnt get a chance to post it up
