2000 TL vs. 97-99 CL

Hey guys wuts goin on im new to acura's im actually pickin my first one up tom. So i brought it up to a friend who has an acura that i was pickin one up as well i tell him i am getting a 2000 3.2 TL instead of the normal congrats i got a TOO BAD! so i look at him and ask why too bad he responded cause wen we race i will smoke u. he has a 97-99 3.0 CL and was wondering who would win the only downfall is my car isnt a type s. So whats your guys opinion. Oh Yea both cars r bone stock but he has 2 12" subs in the trunk.

You'll win.

While he has a weight advantage of 250 pounds or so, that 4 speed auto is quite tame verses your 5 speed auto. An extra 25 hp and torque helps. His weight advantage becomes less important with those two subs in his trunk.

Arite thanks for the input.... i piked up the car today just waiting for insurance shoulda had it today but the morons at the insurance company used the wrong vin number, hopefully tomm itll b on the road and i can show that kid wut a TL can do lol

YOU WILL SPANK HIM. 3.0CL 0-60 in 7.4. 00 3.2TL 0-60 in 6.7. no chance the cl will beat you.

i dunno everytime i ask him i get a different year and all i see is the 3.0 emblem on the back (to lazy to look at the vin)

The J30A1 was a torqueless wonder. A well-driven 2.3CL manual can run stride-for-stride with the 3.Slow CL up until higher speeds.
