Trew.. I'm gonna have to see those in person soon and then order them. I think I'm going to go the 30 LED route as well. How much did it come out for just the domes front and back and I guess the door edges too, cuz it would kind of look off if I didn't replace those too.

Paid just around $100 for the 4 domes, 2 doors (+2 extra), 2 license plates (+2 extra).

I'm not gonna lie... Those flanks are wicked bright. Hit me up when you come down. I check PMs every day.

Finally had time to put my order together and figured I'd post it for anybody else that's looking to buy some since I know it helped to see what other people ordered. Not to mention that some of the bulbs purchased not long ago aren't even available anymore.

Front Domes - V-LEDS HID WHITE 4 LED 2 WATT HP M-SMT FLANK BULBS
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...46239236233234

Rear Domes - V-LEDS HID WHITE 4 M-SMT 2W HIGH POWER BULBS
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...44245240237252

Doors and Vanity - 2 HID WHITE 6 LED LIGHT BULBS
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...44245240233250

Not sure about these for the doors but figure I'll see how I like them.

Glove Box and Console - 2 SMT HIGH POWER WHITE WEDGE BASE LED LIGHT BULBS
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...36239250235250

Trunk - V-LEDS HID WHITE 30 M-SMT BULBS
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...32249242241236

License Plate - 2 HID WHITE HIGH POWER LICENSE PLATE LED BULBS
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...32249240241244

Reverse - V-LEDS HID WHITE 14 M-SMT 5W HIGH POWER BULBS
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...36235248245248

If you see anything wrong, please let me know! Thanks to the OP for the coupon code

HID WHITE HIGH POWER LICENSE PLATE

14 M-SMT 5W HIGH POWER BULBS

The license led looks a little brighter than in person but not by much. I really can't complain about them. The 14 LED are really bright and will blind anyone looking directly at them.

Lightbulb Looks good but

Thanks for posting the pic. Looks great on that TL but I'm looking for something bluer and less bright I think. In the NY meet there is a pic of a white WDP in daytime with the perfect liscense LED I'm gonna have to track down who that is.

Not that hard, Steven. You open up the console, twist the white light cover off, and there you go! The bulb is small, however, so it'll test your dexterity a little bit.

Need Some Help

Hey fellas, so I previously ordered a set of these from V-Leds: V-LEDS TYPE 1 DUAL COLOR CHANGING WHITE/AMBER 60 M-SMT TURN SIGNAL BULBS 1157 2057

I need another set of these.

Now, on the site, I can only find the TYPE 2 bulbs. I want the TYPE 1's.

Am I just missing it, or is it no longer available?

TIA

Definitely a test of both dexterity and patience to get that bulb. The cover comes off real easy but, at least on mine, there isn't much slack in the wires so it's tight trying to unscrew the bulb from the housing.

Finally got a change to install all of my led's, thankfully without breaking anything. Just have to wait until tonight to get a good read on how they look.

The V-LEDS WHITE 36 M-SMT reverse bulbs are not that bright.

I expected much brighter for $30.

Too true I should have bought the 14 bulb version. Other than that the HP license plate and the 6 light puddles are great!

Get the 14-led bulbs, link below. More expensive but worth it. I haven't had the 36 bulb but these are plenty bright for led's. Short of going cold cathode, probably the best you can get right now.

Well I bought this exact same list and am having problems. The big 36 led bulbs aren't working at all, one of the rear maps lights don't work, and BOTH doors don't work.

Refer to my post...

Anyone have that many bulbs come bad from v-leds?

^^ Might be a dumb question but have you tried flipping the bulbs in the housings? A few bulbs, mainly the M-SMT bulbs, are dual polarity but the rest only work installed one way. I assume you did this since you would know whether it was working as soon as you install the bulbs.....unless you pulled the fuse to install which isn't necessary.

Installed my vled order this weekend with no issues.

No I had no idea the way they were installed mattered. Interesting. I also saw I post where the guy says it's best to kinda of pull the metal contacts out on the LEDs a little. I'll try both when I get home.

Can anyone else comment on polarity? Which bulbs exactly?

Polarity needs to be correct. Flip them AND pull the contacts out a bit and you'll be set.

These bulbs, and most if not all of the other M-SMT bulbs, are dual polarity (even says it in the description) so you can install them any way and they will work. Just look at the base for these bulbs compared to the normal 194 base and you'll see the difference. Also, there are no wire contacts on these and trust me, they fit very snuggly. Almost didn't think I was going to get one of the front domes in.

Yea I had issues. I found it was best to get one side kinda in, then push on the other side, then push in the middle. I know I have them seated properly. So if those are dual and work any which way, and both bulbs don't work in the left rear map light, does that mean I broke the socket or whatever?

http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...ds_per_page/50

^That means those are dual too, so I couldn't have installed them wrong. But what are the odds that both were bad from vleds? I have to be missing something. Are the license plate and reverse lights on the same fuse?

The reverse bulb you have is not dual polarity. Flip them and they should work. I tested mine after replacing both bulbs and only one lit.......flipped the other and good to go.

I don't think any of the bulbs you have are dual polarity. I don't know about the 6-led flanks since they aren't available on the site anymore.

Just ordered some replacement blubs as the ones I had from "TecToyz" years ago are failing/not staying in their socket.

I bought 2 sets of "2 V-LEDS BLUE 11 SMT LIGHT BULBS 194 168 158 2821 W5W"
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/f...38245240235238

I saw reports earlier in this thread that the coupon code was only giving 10%. Thanks to google I found a 15% code that works: NICOCLUB

I grabbed these for my reverse lights...

http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...ds_per_page/50

and I must say I am NOT very impressed with them. It lights the housing area up like a mofo, but it doesn't shine a lot of light out the back like it should...

Sorry for not responding to this, have not checked this thread in a while and I have placed 2 other orders from v-leds since then so my setup has changed somewhat.

I am however running the 48 LED switchbacks. I installed these resistors:
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...id/0/SFV/32481
You don't need to install them but if you do not install them you will have hyperflashing.

You have gone led crazy man....stay off the website! Let me know what you think of the 36-led bulbs vs. the 14-led bulbs. I have the 14's which I decided on after finding out they were brighter than the 36's. I'll be interested to find out how much different they are from somebody that's had both.

Also, what do you think of those bulbs you're using in your doors? Right now I'm using the 6-led bulbs your using in your rear domes for my doors. But, since the led's fire forward, I was thinking something that was multi-directional would be better.

I'm still waiting for a replacement bulb for my rear dome. Funny thing is, unless you look at the lens you wouldn't even realize there was only one bulb working. The M-SMT 2W HIGH POWER BULBS are no joke.

The license plate bulb is my fav part. Very clean cut, white light. Looks like a lexus.

I will try and get a side by side pic of the 36 vs the 14. I never have my camera though, the fiance and I share a camera and guess who has it 99% of the time lol

The door bulbs are really nice, I don't know if it would be worth buying to replace the ones you have though. Unless you just want to be crazy like me buying extra LEDs for the heck of it haha
