Now that I've seen the $250 price point at HD, i'm going to have to wait for it again because
logic. Also I'm not planning on doing my 105K just yet so will keep it in the back of my head for now..
Thanks gents

If anyone finds a ToolUp coupon code to drop the price to/below $250, let me know. I think at that price, I must get one. Kicking myself for not doing the HD deal....

Holy crap, I just read this and couldn't pass it up. I ordered it for $269 right away, free shipping, no tax. I don't think I can wait until it drops to or below $250. This is a huge steal at almost $100 less than Ingersoll W7150. I kept thinking about getting the Ingersoll but couldn't do it due to its price.

Ah, well that's good to know that ToolUp doesn't charge tax!! That makes the ToolUp deal just as good as the HD $250 deal, because there is tax on the HD deal.
#2171
Burning Brakes
If I get the HD $250 and pay the local 9% tax, it ends up being $272.5, which is more than the $269 online with free shipping. Plus it's delivered to my door

I received this BEAST today. Here is a picture of it with the Lisle Honda 19mm harmonic balancer beast socket. I don't think I'll have problem taking the crank bolt off next time

I bought the NitroCat 1200K + that Lisle Socket. It did the job without any drama when I did my timing belt / thermostat last weekend.

I was able to break free the crank bolt year and a half ago using an old electric ingersoll plus the Lisle socket. It took maybe more than 15 seconds though with the gun steady on the bolt, but that socket helped A LOT.

The main reason I bought the Impact and the Lisle socket? I replaced both my axles (had a slight high speed vibration) with OEM parts. I broke the axle nuts loose with a 1/2" breaker bar + a 3 foot section of steel pipe as a cheater bar. When the passenger side spindle nut gave I wasn't sure whether I busted the extension, the nut loose or my elbow. Elbow is still sore. I'm over 40 - I've already earned my man card many times over. Come talk to me once you'd replace the sychros in a wide ratio Muncie 4 speed in the parking lot of a hotel. At night. There was beer involved. That was my first ride, a 67 Chevelle. That was not the first time I'd done it. Despite what old farts talk about, Muncie 4 speeds were crap with a lot of power in front of 'em. And then there was the time me and a buddy did rod and main bearings on my 71 Blazer 454 in the parking lot of the auto parts store that actually had the bearings in stock. We were young, poor, and 400 miles from home with a rather annoying problem of almost no oil pressure. The repair got us home - slowly -but a Blazer with a big block, granny gear 4 speed and 38's wasn't exactly an interstate cruiser to begin with.

pass side axle nut is suppper tight.. was the most difficult thing I've had to pop with a breaker.
I was jumping on my 3 foot breaker bar like a pogo stick. I'm surprised I didn't maim myself.

The Blazer was a pile - but it and the Chevelle are the two vehicles (out of way too many I've owned / worked on) are the ones I wished I'd kept. It was a former Park Service truck when I got it off a guy who had done nothing but weld up an overkill front bunper / brushguard for it. The small block that came in it was long gone when I got it and it was SUPPOSED to be something to get around in since the Chevelle was always apart or getting upgraded. The 454 was a low compression turd out of a truck. God knows how many miles it had on it when I dumped it in that Blazer. I was still in high school, and lived in the boonies of SC, so of course it "needed" a bunch of lift and a bunch of tire LOL. 45 mph in that truck was an adventure - felt like triple digits.

hey guys, so I'm ready to tackle this TB job, I do have the M18 2763 1/2 impact, bought it about 2 yrs ago as my go to impact when doing DIY stuff. I have not tried taking the crank bolt out yet, do you guys know if the Lisle socket is still needed or will a regular 19mm impact socket work ?
Also, this might question might be beaten to death, if I go with the Gates TCK kit which only comes with the 2 pulleys and unitta TB, then get the Aisin WP, and Aisin hydraulic tensioner. Do you know if the gates tck kit come with the OEM Koyo pulleys?

Nah, you won't need the Lisle socket.
99% sure the pulleys in the Gates Kit are Koyo. I've used the Gates TCKWP329 kit twice now (~50K on the 2nd kit so far) with no issues.

Thanks! I've read about this "Shim Kit" that goes with one of the pulleys for the TB, this fixes the TB chirp , although I do not have this chirp now, do I need to get this Shim from Acura when doing the TB service?

I'd agree with Turbonut. If your belt isn't chirping now, I'd assume it's not needed. FYI, the Gates kit comes with the shim. Dunno about the Aisin kit.
