You can buy the paint at any store that specializes in models, I got mine at Hobby works in Rockville, MD. But I'm pretty sure that you can get it here:

Actually, you really do have to worry about offset... The rims I got have a pretty big lip, so brake clearance between the stock caliper and rim did become an issue. The wheels are sticking out just a little more than I wanted, but thems the brakes (pun intended)!

I am also not using the discs right now... (might be hard to stop the car! LOL)

I could either:

1) leave them out (no additional work).
2) modify the stock disc to fit (should be pretty easy).
3) install the BBK that came with the doner wheels (alot more work).

I still haven't finished modifying my other 2 wheels yet...

I did manage to finally get the last rim off, but I scratched that one too... I guess there's no going back!

I was thinking of ordering those other rims for the hell of it since it is only $11, but shipping to Hawaii is $19-$22...

If anyone orders them, post your pics (and tips)!

That is like way over the top for me Kikaida! I took a walk on the wild side just buying the car (scale) in the first place. I intend to invest my time and money in modding my real black beauty! I still might do my wheels though. But if it is more than pop off and pop on, then proly not.

I do want to see what your finished product looks like though!

Just an idea. Do you think that you local Acura dealer would be interested in selling a few of these models in his showroom accessories display case? I know if I had seen one at my dealer, I would have bought one on the spot.

It really wasn't too hard, I just didn't have the time to do it. A few spare minutes here, a few spare minutes there... That's why it took so long.

That and there was alot of "planning" in which I would take a long time just thinking what the best way to do a certain task would be. I did not want to screw anything up since I basically got only one chance.

I must say, since I probably did more work on this model than anyone (probably), I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of this model!

Dave, I really want to thank you for giving all of us here the opportunity to buy this model. This thing is awesome!

P.S. I am still considering the Racing Pedals and Illuminated Door Sills. I just have not had the time to research how hard the installation is for them. I am pretty sure I will buy them as I have to run a power wire (probably 4 gauge) for my subwoofer anyways, so I might as well do the Sills at the same time since I will have everything apart...

Ah, what the hell, you only live once... Payment sent for 1 set of Illuminated Sills, and 1 set of Racing Pedals for '04 TL 5AT!

I will just have to add it to the pile of stuff to do for my TL! A-spec kit, Subwoofer, Repair Rim, fix dent... and now door sills and race pedals! LOL!

i think its a blue one that i have......no big deal........its not like my real car is black so i dont care......if you still had a white one then we would be swapping but dont worry about it

How the Black and Silver can be the ones left is beyond me! Those are easily the most loved REAL TL colors!!! There is a thread here somewhere about that. By the way, NBP was definitely in first on that one!

Hey Kikaida, where are those pics???? Also, what kind of sub are you using in the trunk and what amp? Are you going to use the sub controls on the dash?

LOL! Sorry for the wait!

The sub I am gonna put in is an Infinity Basslink. It has a built in amp with line level inputs, so I will retain the ability to control the sub level with the stock controls. The amp is only a couple hundred watts, but I was thinking of putting in a carputer, so thats why I was planning the bigger gauge cable. I ended up wussing out and just buying 8ga. wire though...
