Buda is like performing surgery! Damn! I didn't want to know that my car looked like that with no gear on! LOL!
If TL_Feel is watching, you can always buy a silver one and paint it to the color you want. Why not paint a black one you say? Well, who in the heck would change the paint on an NBP??!! Not even Kikaida would do that!!

"Was" being the key word. I got the NBP for the second one in case it looked better then my 1st one. That way I could keep the best looking one in orig condition and then mod the other one. My first one was in much better condition so the second one got stripped... literally.
I was going to keep the primary color of the new paint job black, but now I'm leaning away from that. I need to hit up the hobby store tomorrow for some balsa wood and start in on the fabrication of custom parts.

THANKS DAVE
Appreciate all your hard work putting this together. Do not understand why other model manufactures have not come out with the Acura TL.
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND TROUBLE.

I was just reminded when I looked at my dresser that I didn't have to run outside to envision that other mod - I could have just looked at my MODEL! LOL!

I suppose it depends on what you want to do with it? And how your LED hooks up. Any pics of what it looks like?

Here is a link for a pic of the LED. It is a smaller LED because it is for the trunk or glove box. If Buda sees this maybe he can tell me as well.

Quick response as for putting the LED in is.
1. Where do you want to put it?
2. You need power. Trunk would be easiest place to hide batteries and still be accessible.
3. switch for power would most likely need to be in trunk as well. I'll have to look again but I don't think there is enough clearance on the interior to put in it below the car, I'll check though.
4. Depending on the voltage requirements, you may need a small circuit board as well to regulate voltage/amps/wattage. Would also need to be in the trunk.
Since you are probably only going to turn it on for show (short periods of time). It would probably be easy to use a lithium battery as this takes little space. These are the batteries that you put into watches or the CMOS battery on motherboards.
I'll take a look at the interior pieces tonight and try to eval best placement. Luckily the base (undercarriage) of the model is a separate piece from the interior (seats and dash on a single piece) so it is possible to hide wiring running to the front.

I just got my silver TL. Overall quality is good, except some little marks on the paint. I would like to paint the back light to red. Anyone have experience doing that? Did you guys paint directly on it, or pull off the thing, paint it and then put it back?

I painted directly on the light. Open the trunk so you don't accidentally paint on it.
The paint is "Model Master" Enamel Paint. Color is "Stop Light Red Metallic". I bought it and a paintbrush at a local hobby store for about $5 I think. Now I have a whole bottle and used only a couple dips as you only need 1 coat. LOL!
By the way, if anyone is thinking about buying a diecast, you better hurry! Supercomputers only has a couple left!

For those who wanna "make" an a-spec for the models I think it'd be pretty easy for someone to do a paper craft of the parts. Just have to draw them in photoshop or what not, put some color, print it in hard paper cut it and glue it =)
Check out these sites to get an idea. Amazing models considering they are made of paper. Some of the sites is in japanese but i'm sure you can find the pdf file in the links.

Only one person needs to make a drawing and share for everyone else!!
I must say I've tried to make one of these and its pretty fun. You just have to be VERY patient.
