Exclamation 08 type s in blue. Why so rare?

Hey, I'm looking to buy 2008 used tl s for around 32k. I want a blue tl but I'm having a hard time finding them.

I only saw one blue one driving in Indiana but thats about it. It was a auto type s with limo tints all around. Looked sick.

I was hoping someone can help me out.

And where do you live?

I see a bunch of TL-S in NBP and KBP in NYC. And thus I'm lovin my WDP.

Good luck my friend. Besides mine, I have only seen 1 other KBP in the Baltimore area. There was another thread not too long ago about the same thing. I wonder if they just didn't make too many KBPs?

Well I got mine so I'm happy!

when I bought mine in February there was only 2 out of all the dealers that I called. And of those two there was only 1 I would deal with, and theirs was in the showroom to my horror...luckily there was not too much wrong with it

I've been looking all around and found only one dealer that selling a new one for around 34k which seemed very low since they usually go for around 37k.

I think it's got a lot to do with the local demographics of who's buying TL's. In this area most of the new TL sales are to old farts like me. Most of the old farts aren't interested at all in TLS. Nor would they be caught dead in a KBP car. They're looking for 'conventional luxurious' appearence in this price range. Which is why I've only seen a few KBP myself. Speaking of rare color TLS...I have never seen another MRP TLS in this area aside from mine. A few MRP Base, but no TLS around. So I think they're both somewhat rare here in the Chicago area. Even more rare is an MRP TLS with 6MT (I got one!). Plenty of black/white/silver TLS but so few MRP and KBP.

there are plenty of KPB's up here in New Hampshire.. I would have to agree with ChicagoBurbs that not many young people like myself drive them though. I know there are 2 of them at my work alone (Fidelity Investments) but they are always here before I roll in at 8 so I have no idea how old they are. My guess for seeing so many is that there is an acura dealer about a mile and a half down the street who gives discounts to fidelity employees

That color was made in very limited numbers because its in high demand as the other at least that is what I was told by a couple of dealers in my area.

There are 2 in my condo's garage, only 50 cars in there. And there are 4 in my works parking lot out of 200 cars.

I know that there were 2 on the dealers lot this weekend when I got the oil changed. Thats just one out of 3 SD Acura Dealers.

If you can't find one locally search in the neighboring states. As for INdiana I think they only had one dealer in Greenwood when i lived there atleast. Try cars.com, here is one in Chicago:

Whatever color your are shopping for is considered rare and in high demand by the dealer you are speaking with.

Pete, truer words were never spoken! Almost peed my pants laughing when I read that!

I remember when I bought my MRP I asked if they had a KBP to look at, and they didn't. I must have looked disappointed, because the salesman says to me "You would hate it anyway, it looks like a Smurf Car!"

Because.. it's the best color ever.

Then again.. my view is slightly tainted.

But.. being serious.. I could only find one in the entire NoVA area when I went looking for mine... and, I ended up getting it - obviously.

Acura came out with KBP (KINETIC BLUE PEARL) exclusively for the TL-S. The TL-S has only been out for a 1 1/2 years. Also, it is true that KBP and MRP are being kept limited. Hey if anything you can go hitup your nearest dealer and ask for a NBP. Im sure they have them stockpiled in their storage. HAHA KBP FTW!!

i was JUST thinking that! MRPs are RARE here in Washington. Out of the two dealerships i visit from time to time, neither of them have ever even carried an MRP TL-S...Bellevue and Lynnwood.

Other than mine, I've not seen another one here in Knoxville. I've not even seen a MRP in person. Good to know that they were limited production colors.

Love mine, though. Even the 'ole geezers mention it occasionally at the pump. They'd never own one themselves, but they sure do like to look at it.

My MRP 6MT Taupe is the only one in New Mexico that I'm aware of.

I searched autotrader and found 29 used KBP nationwide and 2 are at CarMax. You can always have the car shipped to your local location.

Just my
