I'm looking to get 07 mirros on my 04 but someone told me that the mirrors can not be taking apart. Therefore since my color was not produced on 07-08s my only option would have been to get black and see a black spot where the mirror folds in if I choose to fold it in.

But now I saw honda sells replacement housings for mirrors therefore im assuming they can be taken apart, painted and put back together.

Does anyone know or have experience in this?

 

I did the conversion on my 05 AM with no issues. Just dropped the mirror off at the bodyshop to paint and everything came out perfect. They were able to paint even the area where the mirror folds.

 

Thats good to know. When someone told me that they dont come apart I was like wtf why would they not come apart. You got any pics of how yours turned out?

 

yeah i also did this before i decided to get me car painted from AM to WDP, trust me it looks great. the hardest part is getting the wires from the inside of the car through the door jam and into the actual door to connect the blinkers.

how much am I looking to spend for the mirrors + paint job
where would i order these from?

I was planning on doing this mod next summer lol i dont do mods in the winter, too cold in CT. I dont want to buy the mirrors new because they are kinda pricey so ill look for them over the next few months.

Im gonna do another mod to match this too but its top secret

There's a person on here by the name of "maddsiick" who can install the mirrors. He did my blinking mirrors and they came out perfect.
