06 aspec 6speed vs 92 civic hatch b16

my little bro has a 92 civic with a b16 moded with cams ,exhst, and intake. the engine was bored out and the car has ran high 12s and low 13s. my tl is a stock aspec 6sped. we decided to play so i pulled up behind him at a complete stop. i was looking for my vsa button when i heard him take off. i imediately floored it after him. he had about 5 car lenghts when we slowed down. i told that i was'nt ready on that run so we pulled onto the highway and did it again. i had a good start after him, but still have not turned the vsa off. i stayed prtetty close until the rev. limiter kicked on. yes i mistimed my shift and got dusted. hoever i started to run him down when i was at 100mph. by that time he started to slow down becuase of traffic. i tried fellas.

no... you did not try at all. If you are raciing like that and you aren't prepared then you should not be racing at all. How can you NOT find the VSA button?!?!?!? were you stonned, to miss a shift?

I think you don't know how to race. I also think you are not familiar with your car. A very dangerous combination. II do hope you aren't driving around my part of town.

yeh i just got the car about a month ago. i'm still trying to get familiar with the car. my bro and i was were just curious to see if the car could keep up with his civic. i new it was a loosing battle but we did it anyways. he actually had more mods than i listed like dc fuel regulator, dc headers,dc fuel rail, v-tec timer, si tranny, skunk 2 clutch, and along with the mods i listed before professionally done. but i've been practicing, and am getting better with the tl. don't get me wrong all the cars that i've had were manual. the tl's clutch is not a racing clutch like i'm use to. but that'll change. but if u guys want a shot at the hatch holla!!

da_illezt_tl973; we live in north carolina, the dirty south. where do you live? yeh it would be interesting to see the two b16s face off. what mods do your bro have. originally the hatch had a b18 in it but the previous owner sold it and dropped a b16 in it. the car now in its present stage is more like a b18. hit me back with your bros mods.
