04 TL six speed w/123k

If that is the case, you should be good. The clutch would be my only worry but if it has already been replaced, the only other thing to ask about is the timing belt.

I would be skeptical that this tech really could tell/even checked the waterpump and belt were replaced. If you want a sale, of course you are going to say, "oh yeah we checked them out they look good."
congrats though on a good deal, just makes me depressed to know how little the value of my car is

Only had my TL for a few days, but the hood doesn't seem like it has a lot of access. Is everything hard to get to?
Send me a PM I might be able to help you with a VIN check, if the TB was replaced at a dealership it should show.

I never realized how many features this car had. Makes it a great value even without NAV. Im pretty happy with the purchase except for all of the torque steer but ill get use to that.

Suggestion, bought an 04 Tl 6spd in Dec. Local dealers did not have the server records, but by using the locations from the carfax, called the dealers in that area and was able to get the service history from the original owners dealer.

I got 50,00 miles on my clutch already!!
Dude the Type s MT sucks for traffic, it always burns the shit out off the clutch, I feel because the the car is so heavy!!
Anybody else feel this way, and also how long until the clutch actually starts loosing power!! I already have 50, 000 miles and my car is brand new, but they are all pretty much highway miles. Somebody at the dealer told me it was like $1900 for the clutch!!!

This is the internet mmr prices for 04 TLs with navi a few weeks ago. Gives you somewhat of a baseline. In general a lot of the 04s at dealers are auction bought. You can even reference it by VIN. They are buying it for 10-12k avg? And they are trying to selll them in the 15k+ in socal. Transporation and the little things they do don't add up more than about $500.
If they bought it for 10.5k + 500 fix ups + 1k profit. I say offer them 12k even if they have listed at 16. Don't have a lot of time now adays but I'll get around to look at NY. Or offer someone with a dealer's license a suitable deal. $400 is fair. You save thousand and he gets an easy 400

Tl
hey thanks alot piggydog, its a great help. I will definitely try your advice when bidding on cars but sounds like i could get a great deal finding a dealer and going to this auction. So i've heard they have acura off leasing auction events. Is that what you suggest? Right now looking at 2006 TL with no NAV and 90K going for 13000 at a used dealer lot. is that a good deal or you think i can get something better, possibly with lesser miles and possibly NAV for the same price off these auction? would appreciate it greatly if you could give me the internet MMR report on an 2006 TL. thanks in advance.

Yea but you live in a diffrent area. You let me know if you find a deal like that in the mid west??? They must not be as popular here or they sell for more.

Actually, here in NY they were terribly priced. I mean they wanted $13.5k for a non navi auto with 123k on it! I found the car in Detroit, Michigan. Flew out and drove it back. What kinda condition is she in?

Just found out she needs brakes soon but other than that not bad shape. Seats need to be treated. Wheels are loosing clear coat but thats not a big deal im planing on painting them. I dont know it must be the current market. I searched a 500mi radius and only found maybe 5 six speeds and this was by far the cheapest. All at dealers. I almost gave up and bought a auto till i found this one.
