I am debating between an 04 and an 05 TL. Does anyone know anything besides a possible color change (red)? One sales guy told me the rear taillights may change. The 05 comes out the end of sept so I may wait another month or two if the price isn't that different. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Or wait for 2012! That will own the 2008 redesign.

At this month, you'd better wait for 05. Don't believe that you can't get discount early on a 05.

When are the 05 TL's coming out? I am taking delivery of a 04 TL in a couple of weeks, still haven't paid the dealership yet, debating if I should wait to get the 05 TL instead of the 04 TL since it is already August. However, my color combo is a rareity where I reside as well.

On a guesstimate I would think the resale on a 2005 Acura TL over the same in a 2004 Acura TL when you decide to sell or trade would be around the $2000 mark. So if you feel that you are saving $2000 by purchasing the 2004 go ahead and get that. If, however, the 2005 will cost you almost the same as the 2004 you are waiting for you'll be MAKING money by holding out for the 2005.

And personally, I think if you would go to your saleperson and present them with that argument they would, in order not to lose your business, probably be very "open" to selling you a 2005 TL at price comparable to the 2004. Unless, of course, they ARE allowing you $2000 off the older 2004 TL which I seriously doubt.

Hey, you got 'em by the balls, just squeeze; They DO NOT WANT TO LOSE A SALE ! ! ! They have already figured your sale into their sales goal/quota so I seriously doubt they'd show you the door.

The other thing of concern is "Did you sign a sales contract"? If you did then all bets are off; it's yours dude! Read the fine print!

You guys are so sarcastic!

Besides, the 2020 will likely have SDH-AWD, with a six turbo in-line 16 and quad xenon lights up front. (SDH = Super Duper Handling)

So the rumour goes here in TLand. Some sites state that Acura may offer the AWD as an **option**.

Whether or not the 2006 TL offers AWD only Acura knows...

Thanks IMAX, I agree with your logic, not sure what I am going to due yet. I just wanted to be able to have the car before it starts to get cold here and with the color combination that I have been waiting for as well.

I am in the same boat. Don't know whether to go ahead and order an 04 or wait till the 05's came along and see if they offer a better color combo to my likings.

Yea, that is what I am kinda hesitant about as well 92NSX. However, I guess their will always be something on the horizon that we might like better. I guess if you like what is currently out their then go for it. From a monetary persepctive, well not sure if I should wait or not than. By now, and in a month of 2 my car is already a year old by 05 TL coming out! Not good for resale!
