I have now stored a few CDs on the HDD. The Gracenote db indicates that Title info successfully acquired - this happens at the beginning of the record process.

However, about 50% of the time it has not really worked. For 1 CD, no info appeared - says unknown album, artist, song.
In 2 other cases, it just shows the title of album and every song as "multi-hit".

Might be a moot point going forward as I will probably rip my CDs to a USB device with more capacity.

 

I have encountered the same issue and I recently updated my Gracenote DB. The one CD that gives me constant issues is Lake Street Dive "Bad Self Portraits".

Did iTunes recognize the Train album? If so, then the HDD should too, since they both grab from Gracenote.

how do you update gracenote ?

 

You load/copy the update from the acura site onto a CD or USB drive then download using the MIDI screen prompts.

I have a CD of Santana's first LP, loaded it but Gracenote did not recognize it. So, I went into the HDD data base and figured with Unknown was that CD, renamed the CD title to "Santana I" and Gracenote still did not recognize it. I find it hard to believe that this is not in their database. Frustrating to say the least.
