Until acuranavi.com corrects the information on its website, the information provided about how to update Gracenotes is incorrect. Gracenotes is the system of information which will match the CD you install with a library of music, making it unnecessary for you to do anything manual in terms of entering information about the music you download to your hard drive. After working with Acura tech help, the following procedure is the correct way to download and install the latest Gracenotes updates:

(1) Go to acuranavi.com, select update Gracenotes, and then select ZDX.
(2) Download the Gracenotes zip file to your desktop and then unzip it. You will then have on your desktop a file folder containing six items and a 7th item which will appear outside the file folder.
(3) Ignoring what has been written on the website, drag the file and the extra item onto your USB flash drive. Your USB flash drive needs to be completely free of any other programs or music; reformat it if necessary.
(4) Go to your ZDX BUT DO NOT TURN ON THE CAR. First, plug in the USB flash drive to the USB port. Now, turn on the car, select HD setup, select USB, and then follow the instructions on the screen. The download takes about 10 minutes.
(5) According to the very helpful tech at Acura, the mistake made was to simply copy the procedures for downloading and installing Gracenotes from the TL, and what works for the TL does not work at all for the ZDX.
(6) At some point the website will be updated, but if you have been following the current website directions without success, now you know why it hasn't worked. The system described above was provided to me by Acura Thursday evening and worked flawlessly.
