RLX Sightings
Today I popped by Karen Radley to get a state inspection.
There was a black SH-AWD there, quite a coincidence.
The owner brought it in because it threw a CEL that turned out to be an under pressurized fuel tank, a new one on me.

Any of you ladies or gents in an black RLXh on highway 30 (south of Montreal) last night around 9pm? I had to explain to my passenger, for a good half hour, that she saw a unicorn with "green" licence plates
What I found interesting about that RLXh I saw on highway 30 south of Montreal is that it had winter tires on steel rims. Or at least the steel rims suggested it had winter tires on. First, I find it amazing that someone actually decided to keep driving that car during the crazy Montreal winters and second I find it even more amazing that he put steel rims on it! I mean c'mon now, this is a car that is north of $80K CDN all-in and he can't afford some better and lighter alloy rims? I wonder if he runs them without TPMS... that computer must be losing its mind

^^Steel rims on an RLX Sport Hybrid is a bit like wearing tennis shoes with a tuxedo????? Worse case scenario...go to a wrecking yard and buy some old RL rims for your RLX's winter tires.
It must be my Cleveland roots, because I was thinking the same thing. I must be stylistically challenged, because if that makes that guy happy, I wouldn't turn a hair (If I had any left). Heck, if a steel rim bends we can straighten with a sledge hammer. EVERYONE IN CLEVELAND knows how do that. I suspect that Quebec has it's share of pot holes, and even if alloy wheels can be straightened now, there is still the bother of having to take the wheel in.
Bob, your answer is very consistent with you having taken the trouble of mounting a spare in your trunk, so you can have control of the situation if you get a flat.

(That was a good looking car, wasn't it!)
I was at Motorcars Acura (my preferred dealer) a few days ago to buy a replacement cabin air filter for my SH. I saw a 2016 gilded pewter SH there for sale. If you like gold, pick it up. Third hybrid I've laid eyes upon other than car show models. However, I've still never seen another hybrid in the wild other than mine.
Been meaning to visit thread for a while: have seen a few more RLXs out there, 1 of which I was directly behind. I really wish that they did not make the brake lights dotted - it does not match with the tubing outline. Other than that, the rear still looks pleasant enough to me.
I saw a ZDX over the weekend (not a MMC). That is a super rare bird.
On a side note: my car was involved in a hit & run so I am now borrowing a friends 2012 Civic. Oh my goodness you do not realize what you have til it is gone. I am sure that the Civic is a nice car in general for its class but it so loud & cheap compared to the RLX. I miss so many things like my backup camera, tilt down side mirros, auto dimming mirrors, jewel eyes etc etc

Saw another Sport Hybrid in the wild today on the Bronx River Parkway in the Bronx, NY late this morning! We gave a thumbs up and a honk to each other. I bet he was thinking the same thing I was "holy shit I have not seen another SH like mine in the wild!" His was the dark grey color I really wanted instead of the black I have. Looked very sharp.
It is the small things that bring a smile to our faces. I bet that gentleman is enjoying his ride as much as we all are. Drive carefully everyone if you are on the road for the holidays. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

I saw a black 1 in a parking lot the other day. I average maybe 1 sighting per month.
Imagine two 2014 PAWS RLXs parked side-by-side in Greensboro, NC! My car is in the foreground. The car in the rear is a 2014 Tech. We both going to the same gathering. The other owner previously owned a 2008 TL and later a RDX. He said the RLX is his favorite with its interior room, great gas mileage and road cruiser attributes.
I saw my very first RLX SH sighting in the wild, other than my own, this week. It was a CBP like mine, moving F-A-S-T! on I-480 west near Broadway in the Cleveland area. Anyone new to the group like to fess up? I was in my NSX, of course, and two lanes over, else I'd have given a
. (Of course, I was moving just a little FASTER in my NSX.....)
Someone in the north part of my city (where I live) must have just gotten a white RLX (not sure what trim or year to be honest) because up until a couple months ago I did not see a single one. This white one I have seen a few times. I seen a dark grey one a couple months back and that was the first RLX I had ever seen.
Truth be told, the first time I seen the white one, it was driving on the road across an intersection I was stopped at and I thought it was a TLX. Not until I seen the tail lights did I realize what it was. So now I am thinking in hindsight what if I saw more than I thought I did but thought they were TLX's?
I sat in a sport hybrid one iirc at the dealer and I have to say, the interior is somewhat bland, but very very nicely built. Made with quality materials and soft materials throughout. My one advice for Acura is to liven up the exterior and interior a little, but also play with the styling so that the proportions show. The 2G RL looks very very small and you don't realize it is 190" long. IMHO that is a major reason why the RLX is having issues selling in greter numbers, it doesn't command attention or feel substantial from the outside like an A8 or 7-series.

I still see another RLX once in a blue moon. Have yet to see a hybrid in the wild tho. A few weeks back I was in a parking lot & there was another RLX. Amazingly, no cars were between us so I was able to get some photos of the 2.
My RLX is the only one I've seen in person.
I'll have to keep my eye out. I've seen plenty of TLX's though. In fact, I pass one every day on my walk from the parking garage to my desk. Saw one at Costco today when I had my new tires installed. No RLX's though.
The guys at Costco gave me complements on the RLX.

Here in South Florida, RLX Sport Hybrid is nearly none existence... Just picked one up this past weekend.... So if I want to see one, I'll need to drive next to some reflective shop windows
Having this rarity is one of the reason the trigger was pulled

Welcome to the Sport Hybrid family, psheu. If you loved your RL's, you will really love the Sport Hybrid. Have fun!
I have to admit that the exclusivity of the Sport Hybrid and the RLX in general is a big plus for me. I enjoy having a car that isn't a favorite of the "nouveau riche".
By the way, I live in a city of about 1 million people and I have yet to see another RLX driving around.
