RLX Settings Conundrums
RLX Settings Conundrums
I've found three settings in my RLX that I do not understand, and the as-usually opaque user's guide is of course no help. Anyone know about these settings?
1. Hi/Lo Climate Settings
The climate control system shifts into Hi and Lo when raised or lowered to maximum or minimum temperature, just as in my '06 RL. But there are also separate MaxHeat and MaxCool settings in the detailed temperature display panel, suggesting that there is a difference between MaxHeat/MaxCool and Hi/Lo settings, though I can’t feel any difference. Sales people say they are the same. But if the same, why separate settings?
2. Display non-map screens
Does anyone know what the "display non-map screens" setting does? I cannot see what happens when it is turned on/off.
3. "Get Server Route"
I am getting various descriptions of what "Get server route" does when you request it for a new nav route. Is it the same as a route generated internally by the Nav system (then why bother)? Is it a route with updated maps (though if the internal system has older maps, how could it follow a newer route)? Or is it a route with updated traffic (although since traffic is already live, what would that even mean)? I'm guessing it means something else, but I can't find any information about it.

Could this be the navi server answer? If so, pretty neat=crowd source like Waze does.
Honda Worldwide | HondaLink Navigation
Honda Motor : Patent Issued for Navigation Server and Navigation System | 4-Traders
Max settings I believe refer to the car system recirculating the air inside the car so that it can heat and cool faster as it is already conditioned compared to the outside ambient temperatures. My guess at this point as I have not played with it.

I agree, but isn't that what the Hi and Lo settings also do?
Max Cool / Max Heat is just an easier and faster way of getting to Hi/Lo without having to keep nudging the little temperature toggle or make a decision based on temp. You just want your car hot or cold instantly.
At least that's how Ive always used/interrpreted it, regardless of the crickets
