Fan noise

Has any RLXers notice an abnormal amount of fan noise when ventilation system is being used? I have begun to hear somewhat loud ticking when fan is on. I took out the cabin fitler and did not see anything lodged in the fan blades.

Not here. I never really hear the fan unless I hit the max defrost button.

No fan noise here either.

My first thought was a leaf stem stuck in the fan, but since you've ruled that out, I suspect a trip to the dealership may be in order. The only other thing I can think of that would cause a ticking would be....well....have you upset any mob bosses recently??? If so, when the ticking stops would be your biggest worry.

The only ticking I hear is the "timing belt chirp" that is addressed by this TSB:

TSB 14-025 - Timing Belt Chirps, Applies To: 2014 RLX – ALL, 2015 RLX - ALL

When idle (at a stop light) and entertainment system is off, you can hear it penetrate through the cabin.

Not that this may apply but I have a 2015 Acura TLX SH-AWD Advance that started having a ticking noise when we left for a trip. It continued for about 35 minutes until I turned the audio system on. This has happened a few times since and I have found turning the audio system on and off it stops. I'm assuming the noise cancelling speakers are emitting the sound even though it sounds exactly like a fan ticking. Let me know if this helps you.

Yes, my RLX has an annoying whining, noise. I've had a 96 TL 3.2. 2004 RL and driven the 2015 TLX, none of them have this annoying fan noise. I've had it in the dealership several times, they said it's a trait of the vehicle, they all have it. I'm not so sure that's correct.
