Windshield wipers don't like winter

My windshield wipers on my 2019 Rdx don't work first thing on cold mornings. Might take half an hour to work. Can be dangerous if I need to leave the house before the darn thing warms up for half an hour. Going into dealership tomorrow but the same old story....'we've never heard of that happening!'

Not the blades. They are not frozen to the window. The motor will not drive the wipers.

Is cause they sit under the hood just enough that all snow ice chunks up. I have same issue. Have to chip away before I can get in

It is not because there are chunks of ice there. This happens even without snow or rain freezing. I can manually move the wipers by an inch or so so they are not frozen. The motor won't work at low temperatures.

This is unusual. The dealer needs to fix it.

Oh yeah then that sucks. Have dealer check it out. Probs tell you is fine though. My wipers work, but- My washers dont work, fuel door won’t open and drivers door handle sticks open making it so you cannot exit the vehicle unless you can grab the outer door handle and let yourself out. All happens below 10 degrees.

I will let you know how it goes. Also a problem with immobilizer. Battery cable...black...removed for storage for a few weeks and wouldn't start after it was reconnected. If you leave this thing for any amount of time the battery drains. Poor design overall.

WTF? Really? This is some shit I’d expect from a car built in the 80’s. Acura should be embarrassed.

Update

UPDATE
Took the car to the dealer, had to leave it overnight for the temperature to fall. Temp minus 8 C in the morning, and the wipers would not work. Techs had never seen this before, called Acura Canada, and they sent another wiper motor, took 3 days to get to Halifax, and after the install the temp was above freezing, so they kept the car over the weekend and on Monday morning, at minus 5 C the wipers worked, and have worked ever since. I have an extended warrantee so the rental vehicle I had for one week was covered.
The only thing that the tech could come up with was there was a small crack somewhere in the motor casing, water got in, and below freezing it affected the function.
All in all a frustrating situation for everyone including the dealer, but I must say that the dealer went above and beyond to make sure the repair fixed the problem. Very happy with Atlantic Acura, Halifax!
