The stains do look like the weeping is coming from the bolts. The other half of the case where the gasket would be looks normal and I would expect it to be stained if the gasket seam was in play. Maybe its a design thing. Also try to find an independent Honda mechanic and have a chat. They may be able to share detail in a more frank way about your issue vs the dealer. How many miles did you drive it between when they cleaned up the case and rechecked it?
I put about 600 miles since they cleaned and put a spray. The fluid loss might be minimal and still be within the specs when its time for fluid change. Acura defines leak when they can see it on cover plate, otherwise they say its “normal”. The warranty wont pay for it unless they can show fluid on the cover plat or visible droplets, stains do not count…

it could also be slightly porous aluminum case…

Update on my situation. After I hit the drain plug with a 1/4 turn more...no more wet down there. Sometimes I reuse the crush washers so I guess that messes with the torque needed for a tight seal. So I would suggest 1/4 turn more on your drain bolt and see what happens.

I wish it was that simple in my case. My issue seems to be slight porosity in a transmission case. I am hitting a roadblock with service department, they have convenient excuse that fluid has to drip down on a plate to see, otherwise they can not repair under warranty. This is what Acura quality and support is nowadays…
