Lost power after leaving accessory mode on for 20 mins
I decided to leave my car in accessory mode running Android Auto this evening while working in the garage. After about 20 mins, i heard a ding complaining about the Auto Idle start/stop. Didn't think too much if it but when I turned the car off finally when I was done, the Engine start/stop kept flashing. I then realized the car doesn't have any electrical power and nothing responds. I disconnected the battery for a bit and reconnected, but nada...no feedback.
Im eaving the battery disconnected overnight to see if I can get it to start in the am. Anyone seen this before and any possibile reset trick I could try?
Coincidentally, the battery on my 19 is also deteriorating, and the car occasionally would not start. Going to get a free replacement from Acura since the battery is under the 4-year/50k warranty. Hopefully your car is still covered.
If you have a 2019, I recommend to try to get your replacement now before warranty ends.
Mine latest 3.5 years in the hot summers of S.FL, vehicle was hesitating to start, auto stop would never work, so just got it replaced under warranty with few months to spare on the warranty.

Thanks I think that's my next move. I've tried using a portable jumper I got this morning from Walmart and doesn't work. Waiting on a buddy to come give me a jump and hopefully I can have the dealer replace it.

Yeah i hope so cos these dealers are always trying to pull a fast one. The guys there are generally understanding so will definitely try to get that sorted this week. Just hoping it's nothing serious because right before the car went off, saw some message about "Network BUS disconnected" on the screen

Planned obsolescence at its best

Jump starters are not all created equal. Some will charge and/or jump-start a fully dead battery, others will not.
There is a lot more to it than this. I know of someone on another auto forum who could write 5 paragraphs about it, but feel free to do some research.
True true. So far things are looking towards the battery being shot. Took it to AutoZone about an hr ago and told me the battery was in good health but only had 12% charge and to come back in an hr to get it. Went back and was told battery won't charge and kept rejecting the charge.
Will be reaching out to the dealer to see if I'm still covered under warranty, should be. Thanks for everyone's input as this is just bizarre with the way the battery just gave out.

Had mine replaced under warranty and everything is back to normal. Let's see how long this one lasts...
Just a rant, dealership mentioned they needed to run diagnosis first and it cost $240 (!, it was only $120 pre-covid) Thankfully my battery went bad on the spot while in power-on mode, so an easy warranty claim it was.
Here are pics of the jump starter I bought from Wally World that didn't do jack...
I know it might be a dumb question, but did you flip the switch "on" the jumper when you tried to start the car?
Just asking since it seems kind of odd that type of jumper would not work for you (similar one has worked for me). Unless your jumper was defective or not charged, just my thoughts.
Great news. Got car back today and apparently it was a blown fuse which caused the whole car to be inoperable . Fuse replaced and my Beast is back home. Towing it was fun because we couldn't put it in Neutral, luckily the rear tires moved while the AAA guy put some sliders under the front tires so they just slid onto the flatbed truck.

Glad you're back on the road.
For future reference, whenever you need towing a 2019+ RDX, use the below instructions to switch to Neutral when battery is completely dead or vehicle cannot start
Yes I know, it is a PITA
That is great news but did they happen to tell you which fuse it was and perhaps why it would blow? It's kind of concerning that putting the car in accessory mode for 20 minutes could disable the car.
If the state of charge on the battery was low and thus the voltage, going to start the car will draw more amperage than at full charge since the voltage is lower to get the same amount of energy to feed the starter or whatever else was being used which may have pushed above the amperage the fuse was designed for.
