Hood doesn't open

Hood wasn't opening and when you pull the lever to open the hood, it felt like nothing is connected to the other side.
I took it to the dealership and they sent it to body shop to open the hood. They fixed it temporarily by attaching the cable to the junction box
Found the cable came off and have ordered a cable set/junction box and will replace it when it arrives later this week.

This is a known issue and was covered in the 2019 Acura RDX ONEpack Update #4.

I read the tsb, and my VIN is on the list. The fix seems quite involved. Since it’s a tsb and not a recall, is this just something that they will only fix if it occurs? I would think it would be better to fix before it breaks.

my vin is in the TSB also, I am wondering if I should have them fix it or not, but I do worry about them causing damage to the vehicle
