Driver door takes excess force to shut

So I just noticed today my driver door takes a lot of force to get it to fully latch shut. The odd thing is I never noticed this problem until today. I can go to the passenger door and give it a gentle push and it shuts all the way and latches. But the driver door even with a decent nudge it just bounces and only latches with the initial amount where it still has some play. I have to give it a pretty good hard push for it to fully shut and latch. I checked the alignment of the latch and it seems good, pretty much match’s the passenger side dead on. The body panels seem to line up correctly every where I look. I honestly don’t think I had this issue before. I had a good wind gust that pulled my door open about 2 weeks ago but the problem didn’t start then. Today is the first time I have noticed it. Not sure what to do. I will probably just ask the dealer to look at it, but I just don’t get why it started acting up randomly today. The handle pulls pretty smooth on the outside. The inside one seems to pull well but there is some odd tension. If I just pull it the latch appears to be working correctly. Do you think this is a matter of adjusting the striker, I just hate for the door to not be flush and open the chances of letting water in if it’s loosened out a bit.

i sat in the car and pulled it the normal force I usually do and it just bounces and only latches partially but not fully. 😐

I'm sure you've checked, but just to be absolutely sure, look to see if anything is in the way. Shoulder harness is fully retracted? Has any of the weather strip pulled away from the body, or door? Check all the way around the door, top and bottom. Any chance some debris has gotten stuck along the bottom of the door or door sill? Maybe the latch or striker needs to be lubricated? Just a few ideas.

not a fan of dealers, they replaced my side molding and left tons of scratches on my door, they have been very accommodating but not a fan of other people working on my cars since I have doing my own maintenance for the last 8 years myself.
