Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of people tend to post "what car to buy with $xxxxx?". And these people already seem to have another car. I was looking through autotrader.com and ebay today and figure that if I had 40-60k to blow on a car, I think I'd get a used Ferrari, BMW 850, Lotus, etc. (Descending $$$) Yet we seem to always end up in a debate about S2000, S4, CL, 330, etc. Don't you guys think that 40-50k would be better spent on a mid-to-late 80's Ferrari?
I'm already planning on getting a used F355/360 in about 4 yrs and totally intend to use it as a daily driver. I figure what's the fun in having a car like that and not using it? I recently drove an Espirit S4S and was quite impressed. I figure that a used exotic would be a much better way to blow excess cash rather than getting a new production line vehicle w/ $3-5k mods. However, maintenance may be a bitch. What are the collective thougths?

 

well where i live i cant have a car like that as a daily driver.. chicago has some nasty winters.. altough it would be funny to see a ferrari in the snow..


Also those cars are real expensive to upkeep. SO why not buy new? Also some people dont want all that attenstion in their cars.


dont forget Insurance too...

parts are extremely expensive, i would not keep any vehicle out of warranty, esp a ferrari plus some of us don't live near ferrari dealers
