Unhappy Door Lock/unlock beep Noise Problem

Recently my 2019 RDX (5.5k miles, 8 month ownership) door lock/unlock beep noise is not as loud as it should be. I need to pay very deep attention to hear the noise. The car can be still locked/unlocked and the signal lights still blink when locking/unlocking. But just the beep noise not loud enough to hear it. Since it is not urgent problem, I will mention it when I'm getting my 2nd oil change. Does anyone have the same problem and have it fixed?

The "beeper" is at the back panel near the driver side tail light housing. It is probably defective.

Funny that this has been brought up. I could have sworn I was losing my mind a few weeks ago when I thought that it didn't seem as loud as it was initially. Maybe I'm wrong and that it's the same as it always has been....ha. I don't think mine is as difficult to hear as you state it is in your case, but it does seem quieter on my end. Let me know what you find out please. Thanks!

for my case, the beeper is close to completely not functioning. I need to pay 100% attention to hear the noise. I will update once it gets fixed.

I am searching for the acoustic signal generator in qa 2015 rdx I looked in the rear near the drivers side tail light and it was not there another site indicated that it might be in the front drivers side wheel wheel behind the fender liner . Is any one familiar with this device and could point me in the right direction. Thank You

My car routinely beeps when I walk away, indicating that the car is not locking. What I found that works is to open and close the fuel tank access door. It locks just like it is supposed to. Weird….

It is likely beeping because you are walking away before the door fully closes. Try where you let the door close before you start to walk away then the auto lock should lock correctly versus the “beeping” to tell you it didn’t lock.

Had this happen to me many times

Thanks, but I have done that. In fact, I have opened and closed every door only to have it beep at me….I found the sound coming out of the area near the rear taillight on the driver’s side, so I thought I would try the fuel door, and that is the one. When it beeps, I just go to the fuel door, and quickly open and close it and problem gone….until next time. Hey, with 89,000 miles that is the most difficult one…oh, then there is that sound system thing that says there is nothing in the USB port, when clearly there is. That one requires turning the car off, open and close the driver’s door, and go on…the USB drive is recognized after that 100% of the time…..other than that this is an amazing car!

Where is the Buzzer Assembly, smart-acura 74940-SZW-003 located on the vehicle as mine is no longer functioning and I would like to replace it. This makes the sound when you push the door lock fob 2X to indicate the doors are locked.. Thank You

Regarding the USB port not recognizing anything, when I get this error I just do the three finger reboot and everything works again. Don't have to turn car off at all, might try that if you haven't.

Buzzer assembly location

The Buzzer assembly smart par # 74940-SZW -003 is located under the rear bumper cover attached to the bracket up high.
