So I finally noticed a problem with my CL-S that I just bought a week ago. When I unlock both doors with the remote or with the power button inside the car I get a screaching type noise from the passenger door. If I just lift up the lock manually there is no noise. Anyone experience this or have any idea what this could possibly be?

 

It is more than likely your door lock actuator. When they start to go bad the gears grind, which causes a screeching noise.

They arent too bad to fix, the access hole in the inner door skin is pretty close to the lock.

 

The actuator is the piece that actually lets the lock go up and down right?

 

Part #7 (bottom right) Should run you ~ $35 at a dealer.

 

Lucky they are only ~35 for hondas.

My durango was 135 at the dealer.

 

OK i have a problem close to that one....my door locks when i use the key or remote likes to unlock itself, Acura says its my actuators, but it only does it when its wet or really cold.....should i replace my lock actuator or just investigate to see what the problem is??? im kinda getting tired of fighting it to lock and stay locked.....
