OEM Rotor Replacments?

Hey I have searched this forum but came up with nothing.

Does anyone know a good OEM rotor replacement? The original ones are trash. Warped so quickly. Acura uses cheap parts and I remember back when I had my TL, I used OEM Brembo replacment rotors. They were so good. Thick metal was used so it was robust and never needed any kind of turning and they NEVER warped. Even if I rode them hard and went for a car wash right away.

Anyone have a good recommendation?

I have been using Stoptech/Centric products for a while. Well engineered and reasonably priced.

I put R1 Concepts drilled and slotted rotors/pads on mine but I just traded my Aspec for a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn. Threw the OEM ones in the trash. The R1 setup was great but a little pricey. I’ll probably get a set for the truck at a later time.

Came in to say I had the same issue with my fronts. Although the disks still looked good...warped to hell. Under 40k mostly highway miles.

I went with PowerStop's premium coated. I will state that I needed to fab the dust shield a little due to rubbing. While the disks looks good and the coating should prevent rust, not sure I'd recommend due to the rubbing.

Also, not sure if it was just me...I had to drill and tap both disk retaining screws. Just note you may want to buy some.

i called powerstop n they only offer fronts
did u just leave the oem rears?

from researching
brembo just makes pads n no rotors
powerstop just front rotors

its very confusing lol

service manager said he would tsb my cpo aspec n give me new rotors n pads but i told him not worth the hassle to install even if its free haha

I chose Raybestos for the rear. Same as you, would not consider OEM after how shotty the originals were.

I've used Brakemotive slotted/drilled rotors with their ceramic pads on 2002 MDX and 2006 RL, with amazing results. Stopping power was incredible, they saved my RL from being totaled when some idiot in a pickup truck cut me off to cross 4 lanes to make an exit ramp. My wife was with me, we couldn't believe we didn't get hit. Her shoulder was a little sore for a couple of days from the seat belt holding her in her seat.

The Brakemotive rotors are noticeably thicker and heavier than OEM. Front rotors with pads were about $110.00, free shipping from their Ebay store. Much less expensive than the NAPA OEM equivalent rotors I had used previously. The OEMs are thinner to save weight to get a little better gas mileage, but it doesn't take much to warp them.

My wife has a 2020 MDX, I now have a 2020 RDX, neither are ready for brakes yet, but I can't wait...
