Hi i have a base model 9 speaker system can i only upgrade all the speakers and subwoofer without upgrading the amp (use the oem amp that came with)

 

Probably but the base models and the tech package model amp seems pretty weak. I had a tech package loaner, and I was turning it up to about 15 to get the same volume levels my advanced package has at about level 5. I wouldnt expect much out of a speaker swap in terms of volume. Clarity may improve however.

 

What kind of speakers are you putting in the base model? I have a base as well and am thinking about upgrading across the board, including amp.

 

Wonder if you can replace the amp in a Tech with the Advance amp for more output? I know the rear ceiling speakers are missing but if the power output is much higher it should still work for the other speakers. Does anyone know if the harness connectors are the same?

 

Do you need this? Did you ever compared adv/A-spec vs. Tech? If you mostly driving alone it is not worth but if somebody sits behind you, then yes
