Migrate Nav Data?
We just brought home a new 2021 Advance, replacing our 2014 Tech that will be going to our daughter. I'm still wading thru the manuals so maybe I just haven't run across it yet, but does anyone know if it's possible to migrate nav data from the 2014 to the 2021? Maybe something like a backup from the old, restore to the new? Maybe something in the diagnostics? We have a lot of destinations stored in the 2014 and it would sure be nice to be able to transfer it without having to enter it all manually.

I doubt it. This nav basically sucks when it comes to features.
We were supposed to get quarterly updates, then they said yearly. The car has been out for 2 1/2 years and there has been only one update.

No easy way to re-enter previous saved addresses from another Acura other than one at a time.
You should have Acuralink for free for 3 months once you sign up for it and activate. Acuralink uses Apple maps within the app to search and send addresses to the RDX. I find it easier/faster using Smartphone+Acuralink app to input/send addresses compared to the in vehicle systems. You could enter addresses on Acuralink, send to the RDX, and then save to the RDX's address book. Not 100% sure how easy it would work with the +19 RDX because I'm using my experience with the older dual screen set-up from the 18 RLX and 19 MDX.

I agree with above the the send to feature is probably your best bet. I haven't used it in a while and Acura sometimes switches things up, but while you are on the free trial of the Acuralink security subsciption, the send to feature works with the car off. Once that expires it will still work if you are in the car and the nav is on. (One would think it would be part of the remote subscription, which I do have, but no.)
Another option is using voice recognition to enter your destinations and save them. The voice recognition is actually pretty good in the RDX. I'm pretty much an Apple Maps user since CarPlay was enabled, but I was in an area of upstate NY last week with no cell service, and was forced to use the car nav. The voice recognition got me to my destination.

You have to remember this, you can’t save destinations in the RDX by name. It only saves them by address. The only one that gets saved by name is your home address and it saves it as HOME! So when you need to look for a specific one destination you have to remember the address.

That I didn’t know about the POI’s. Thanks for the clarification. Heck I just use Car Play for everything and every now and then I’ll give the in car Nav a try.

Same here. When I got the RDX over 2 years ago, I liked the nav, especially the next turn in the HUD. Then they did an update and the HUD was giving bad directions (which was eventually fixed with another update). Meanwhile, Apple CarPlay became available, and I've gotten away from using the car's nav except in a pinch. I do wish that Apple CarPlay showed the next turn in the HUD.
