iPhone Air and wireless CarPlay

Hi guys,

I consider to buy iPhone Air but a bit concerned if it’s compatible with the RDX 2024 wireless CarPlay. Apple used in this phone for the first time their in-house communication chip for the Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. Please let me know if you have the phone/car and you experience some issues connecting to the wireless CarPlay.

Haven't heard anything specific to RDX, but I have seen a few threads like this on Reddit where people are having bluetooth issues with the new iPhone variants. If you're in the market and this is important to you, you may want to hold off a bit until more info is out there.

Hello!

So, I have both a 24' RDX Aspec Advance and an iPhone 17 Air. I am finding that the 17 Air looses connection often. I had a 14 Pro prior to the 17 Air, and I never had any issues. However, after upgrading, I am constantly finding myself reconnecting to Car Play. It's rather annoying. I wasn't sure if it was the phone itself or the IOS update. Either way, I much preferred my 14 Pro for car usage. Other than that, I really like the Air!

I have a 2025 RDX Advance and my iPhone 17 Pro works fine and charges on the built-in charger.
