Hey all,

A few months ago I had the left front speaker near the windshield flicker, and it seemed the sound went out for a decent chunk of time. I cannot remember if the sound definitively came back on or, if I have just gotten used to the broken speakers.
Over the summer they sent out a letter about the bad wiring for the entertainments system (or something like that) in the RDX A-Spec 2020. I don't know if I should bring my car in for them to check so I want to check my speaker myself. Maybe someone else out there has had this happen?

 

The only way I can thing of to test them would be to put the fader all the way to the front, and balance all the way to the left. Turn down the surround as much as possible and see if you can hear sound coming from only the front left.

 

In the diagnostics menu, you can do speaker test, it sends a signal to one speaker at a time

 

^^^ some good advice. I for one tho, since it is a warranty issue, would have the dealer resolve the issue. I t could be more involved than it sounds (pun).
It would then be their responsibility - DONE DEAL, forever. ALL of this, of course, weighed by the inconvenience and risk of going to a dealer.

 

Just checked mine, 3 finger, 2nd menu, 3 finger, then amplifier, then check speaker state, and it shows front tweater speakers in red... but they still respond to sound test.
