2017 RDX - Speaker replacement

I know the car is new, but has anyone with a 2016 RDX thought about or replaced their factory speakers? I am so disappointed in this audio system that I will try anything to make it sound more like my 2014 RDX.

I don't know what they did to the ELS system but IMHO they really screwed it up. There probably isn't much we can do to the amp, but I would be the factory speakers are just cheap paper cones

odd...I came from a 2013 RDX tech to a 2017 elite and it sounds identical. What areas do you find lacking?

I am considering replacing the speakers in my 2016 RDX (w/Tech) also. I have changed out the speakers in every car I've owned, including my '04 TL and it has greatly improved the sound quality. I can't speak to the RDX speakers, but my TL speakers sounded muffled and when I took them out they were very just flimsy paper cones. I added Polk Audio speakers to the TL and it sounded great. As I look for speakers for the RDX I am looking for 2ohm speakers which is what the current speakers are. The only 2ohm speakers I can find that appear to fit are from Infinity, who make good speakers. If anyone else has made the switch to after market speakers I would be very interested to hear what the sound difference was and what after market speakers you used.

Thanks in advance!

Has anybody figured out how what size the rear speakers on top are? Or how to take them out?

The 2016 RDX Press Kit (link below) says that they are 3.2" speakers. I don't know how to remove them.
