Flash drive connector?

We recently ripped some music to a flash drive and now I'm looking for a good way to connect it. I know Acura recommends plugging a cable into the port and then using that to connect to our devices. The cable we've been using for our phone has a type C connector and I figured all we would need for the flash drive would be a female C to female A connector but for the life of me I can't find one. The only thing that looks like it would work is using these 2 connectors together. Can anyone recommend a better way to do it, maybe a different cable of some sort?

USB A short extender USB A short extender

Just one example, there are others at differing prices.

But, I don't think you really need it,

This is assuming your flash drive is USB A. I don't think I have seen any USB C flash drives, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
EDIT: There are USB C flash drives! Where have I been? All of my Flash Drives are USB A....If your flash drive is USB C then disregard what I linked above.

Thanks JB, I may have been over thinking this. So you're saying just go ahead and get a different cable and switch them depending on if we're using the phone or flash drive. I had it in the back of my head that there had been some discussion here in the past that the usb port might be a little fragile. That's what had me thinking I should just leave the existing cable plugged in and use adapters to switch back and forth from the phone to the flash drive.

Gotcha!
I use one cable, and it plugs into my phone (Samsung Galaxy S8) from the USB port in the console by the cup holders. (although I am having Android Auto connectivity issues) If/when I use a Flash drive, I plug it directly into the USB port.

Yes, we plugged the flash drive directly into the usb port today when we went for a little drive to try it out. It worked great and my wife is loving it.
I found an old post, I think this might be the one I remembered that was talking about not plugging in directly though. The cable we have now is a little longer than needed so I think we will go ahead and get 2 new shorter ones. One type C for the phone and one type A for the flash drive.
