Curious where are you seeing 21's going for 5% off? I have 6 dealers within 20 miles and all are at MSRP or higher.

It's the same around me...some dealers have 40-50 RDXs (all types) in stock. Debating on waiting to see if new Acura offers happen post 11/1 and then go to them. I like the $1500 loyalty discount now since I qualify but wondering if they will bump up the rebate for financing at the standard rate (currently $1500 per my dealer).

Do you have a build date yet? Assuming its sometime in December? The dealer I was speaking to in Seattle said the build date for the Apex Blue/Ebony A-Spec Advance trim he has is 12-4-21. He said it should be coming in closer to the end of December but thats up in the air. Could be all A-Spec/Advance RDX's could be coming in January.

Theres still 2,261 RDX's out there all together according to cars.com which are a ton they are definitely going to need to move these units before the 22's start rolling in. If your set on getting a 21 and a good deal the inventory is out there just start reaching out to out of state dealers someone is going to bite.

He just gave me Jan/Feb estimate. He said if I wanted it sooner they will have two black ASpec Advance trims in December.

Is Acura doing a PMC experience of sending customers to the PMC factory? I vaguely remember them doing a PMC experience or maybe i was thinking of the NSX...

Looks like Canada is getting first dibs on the 2022 RDX. Here's a youtube video for anyone interested.

Nice to see the mirrors fold when you lock the doors. My wife's QX60 does not do that. They are power folding but you have a push a button.

Good to see Acura has more or less made the infotainment software on par with MDX. (Spinning background to the infotainment home page, for example) However, how come the IDS animations still feature pre-MMC RDX except for normal mode? I hope this is just work-in-progress rather than the final version.

2022 RDX Aspec Advance

No spare tire for Aspec Advance, looks like you get a spare tire foe Advance model?
Anyone know if the front nose are the same in Aspec advance vs advance?
Is it possible to install spare tire kit in Aspec advance model?

In Canada a spare tire is required on all models. Doubt much has changed, but if you search for "A-Spec model spare tire" it'll come up with a few results that shows you can fit a spare tire into a A-Spec model.

Shows the posted speed limit in real time, rather than from a data base which might be out dated.?

My Corsair has this, and also has "intelligent Cruise Control" (on top of ACC) which will allow you to set a variance, say 5 mph, and the car will read the speed limit signs and maintain that set speed with your variances. Really nice. Helps when you are on a road trip and the speed limit drops... and you just didn't see the sign...but the car did!

Your Corsair wasn't made by Acura.

Newer MDX owners are seeing this "bug" too. It's not a perfect system.

Good questions. The Advance has 19" wheels/tires and can fit a spare. The A-Spec/Adv has 20" wheels/tires and apparently can't fit a spare. BUT, I'll know more as time goes
by. I always want a spare....hate the air pump sealant kits!! My last RDX..a '19 A-Spec came with 20"...same as now...tire sizes are all the same...whether 19 or 20" With that
one I changed it over to 19" opt. Acura wheels, and bought the tires I wanted, but, in a size that had the same...or within a tenth inch of the orig. 20" tire....so the diam. was still
good to go for the electronic sensing systems, etc.
I'll be doing the same with the '22 A-Spec/Adv I ordered. Dealer is buying the 20's off of it and I will put on the Adv. 19" wheels....since they look good, and I'll buy the tires I want.
Doing that will allow me to order the spare tire kit and install that....as I did back with my '19 RDX A-Spec.

That may be a Canada-only feature (or at least not available in the US).

Ordered a 2022 RDX Advance (PWP/Parchment) and was told 16-20 week delivery. Paid MSRP and avoided the dealer-installed packages.

Curious what will happen with used vehicle pricing in that time as my wife has a Lexus RX350 that we'll want to trade or sell.

The shortages are not going away anytime soon. I saw a news article that said it is expected to last well into 2022. Personally, I think it is here to stay forever. In other words, unless something changes fundamentally with the financial system, what the fed and congress are doing now will only make supply chain problems worse.

As a result, I think you can expect top dollar for your car.

If what you have is a prev gen RX350 (without the spindle grill) I think it will fly out of your hands.

Even the automatic folding? For the longest time, I know with BMW people had to get their cars coded to have the mirrors fold automatically.

BMW I know for sure you have to get it coded, In my Audi it was standard you just had to click off the option in the MMI but for the RDX in the MY22 it's standard with the Advance and A-Spec Advance packages.

Here's an interview from some folks at Black Book that's very informative.

Our 2017 RX350 AWD has gone up in value at CarMax over $7,000 in the last six months.

It amazes me the number of new cars that don't have a spare. At least you can add one with the A-Spec.

I was considering the new Lexus NX and it comes with run flats.

Run flats would certainly seem like a deal breaker for me. Early reviews indicate higher road noise due to the run flats.

Couldn't live with Run-Flats. The deal breaker for me on the 2022 NX was the cargo space. Personally felt like the cargo space on the RDX is perfect.

I just discovered the part about the new NX's RFTs and that's a deal breaker for me too. I had them with my BMWs and even if they start out quiet when new, they get very noisy with only a little bit of wear. Bridgestone, with their Driveguard, has done a great job with ride comfort though.
