Weird Odometer issue?

So I got my 20 RDX serviced today...mileage in and out were the same..Drove about 20 miles home...and guess what...still the same mileage!! This was the total mileage not the trip A or Trip B.. I reset the Trips while getting gas and the total miles started increasing again...Seems impossible...I called dealer and of course they never have seen that...my only 'guess' is they recorded the in/out miles incorrectly....4086 rather than 4066??? Drive home with a couple of stops would be as noted around 20 miles

I record all my gas fill ups and service mileage. The last fill up miles + trip B miles (reset each fill up) = total miles if 4086...

Anybody else ever see an odometer issue after getting serviced?

Never. I wouldn’t worry about it, works in your advantage - when you go to trade it in or sell. Now if it was doubling your actual miles - that would be worrisome.

I don't agree with this. The owner could be accused of tampering with the odometer if this is noticed elsewhere one day and I would not want to deal with that headache.

OP, I would get this checked out if it continues and then at least you have record that you didn't do this and made an effort to get it fixed.

Yeah that is my concern...I think my guess that they wrote down the mileage incorrectly may be the issue...I did a google map trace from where I was and how I got home at it is just short of 20 miles...but I drove around a parking lot and pulled into the Costco gas station...adding a few tenths....Gonna keep an eye on it for sure..

I can't see anyone being worried about 20 miles. I suspect the dealer wrote mileage down wrong. An 8 and a 6 can be easily misread.

Doubt it stopped working, just the dealer transposing a digit when it was dropped it off for service.
