Miles To Go!
I filled up my 04 TL with a full tank and it said >234 Miles.. I was like ok... today I filled it with full tank and it says >187 Miles how come isn't it supposed to be over 300? and what does that arrow mean? please help guys!

The arrow means "greater than". Miles to empty is based on fuel volume in the tank and average mpg. Mine will say around >280 if I've been doing a lot of city driving to >460 if I've been doing a ton of freeway driving with my average mpg in the 30mpg range.

HAHA... I drove 50 miles after my reading said 0 miles to empty just to get 500 miles to my tank. Was pissin alot of people off drivin 60-65 though LOL...
And yes IHC is correct the milage in your readout is based on the average miles per gallon at that current time. Next time you fill up & it reads low.... jump on the freeway & stick to 70mph, reset your MPG computer & after a minute or 2, your miles to empty will jump up-up-up.
