Tire options for the Aspec 20" wheels

Given my tires are almost 6 years old (date code) and 5+ years on my Aspec SHawd with 6/11th left in tread, looking to replace them. Also, they don't handle as well in the rain, have become louder in the last year and the tread is rock hard now.
The Goodyears have been fine in all weather conditions, never a flat, handled great in the rain + snow when they were new - but all diminished in the last year noticeably. The RS-A's typically 35% less expensive than newer tech tires, but that may be for a bunch of factors (older tire tech and lots of supply).

Looking for all-season replacement options that won't break the bank and not rob steering/perfromance, ride and mpg. What have others replaced the Aspec SHawd tires with and your pros/sons.

Here are two of my options if I move away from the Goodyear RS-A's:
  • Continental - Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus tires.
  • Michelin CrossClimate2

If you were happy with the OEM tires, then stay with those. They were specifically developed for the car to showcase the way the car's attributes the way the manufacturer intended it.

I went through the same experience with the 19" Continental OEMs in that the tire got rock hard, noisy, and started to develop cracks in its 5th year (2019 RDX bought 9/2018 and the tires were replaced end 2022). I replaced with non OEM but took advantage of the satisfaction guarantee and got them replaced to OEM because despite great reviews the Michelin Defenders that I put on there felt lousy. Over here there's a thread discussing my experience and someone mentioned that even within a given tire brand, there can be compound variations for a given OEM (e.g. Audi vs Acura for the very same Continental tire) which does make a difference.

I am on my second set of CC2s. I travel between Long Island and near Buffalo about once a month and can't say enough.

My 2019 RDX Advance has the 20" wheels.

I have the DWS06+ and think they're not a great match for the RDX in 20" spec - combined with an already stiff suspension it's a bit too firm. It's a terrific tires (I've run all 3 generations on my cars) but it's a bit of a mismatch in 20" spec. The performance improvement from the RS-A will be MASSIVE though - the RS-A is a joke of a tire.

It's hard to find anyone who doesn't like the CrossClimate2 but the Pirelli WeatherActive and Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady2 are neck and neck with it in all around performance so the recommendations is usually whichever one is cheapest in your area.

On my 2nd set of RSAs, OEM tires lasted about 80k and still had life but it was getting close to winter and didn't want my wife and child out there on a lower tread tire, so got OEM Spec RSAs from Sams Club for $800 out the door.
Cars at about 145k right now and think there is a bout 7/32nds left on them?

Doesn't seem like they are really in stock anymore, so might try the General G-Max since they are a highly rated tire.

The Pirelli WeatherActive tires are great. I have had them on my 2023 RDX for a year. Quiet and smooth on the highway and very good in snow. Look at Tire Rack reviews…
