Is there an indicator for low washer fluid?
Is there an indicator on the dash for low washer fluid?
Yesterday I ran out of washer fluid without any warning. When I took the car to the dealer for a refill they asked me if there was a warning indicating it was low.

It's on Canadian models only (which also usually have a larger reservoir as well). Not entirely sure what Acura was thinking not putting it on U.S spec vehicles though.

Honda/Acura seems to do that a lot. Not sure why..I was looking a a Ridgeline a few years back and I think rain sensing wipers and heated seats (?) were only on Canadian models...I guess to keep the price down in the US? Just make it an option. The engineering is there already..

Speaking of the reservoir, my 2022 RDX reservoir is black plastic. IMO, that is a brain fart. To check the level you have to open the cap, and if I’m in the garage I need to flashlight to see the level. The translucent plastic used on every other car I’ve ever owned afforded a much easier way to determine the level visually.

I have a '24 Aspec Advance and the other day when I went to hit my washer fluid, nothing came out. Tried it a few more times, and nothing. I've only had the car a month and I may have used it once or twice. I got out and checked it and it was full. I started my car back up and it worked like nothing was wrong with it. Go figure.

If it helps any my Acura dealer and even a Honda dealer (down the street and open on Sundays when my Acura dealer is closed) will fill up my washer fluid for free quickly in the dropoff bay.
They always fill up on oil changes but if the fluid doesn't make it, call and see if yours has the same service. Then you can drop by on whatever frequency makes sense before it runs out.
I've never had any Honda/Acura run out on me between oil changes, since years before when I had an indie mechanic change the oil and he didn't fill the wiper fluid.

I just googled and you're correct! Wow I did not know this, I just thought this whole time Acura was doing Canadians a favor. On that note headlight washers are not required by Canadian law but many of our vehicles do come with it when the American counterparts do not. IIRC correctly the MDX had washers here but not in the states.
