Tailgate open beeping

Anyone know how to stop the tailgate open beeping? I was rear ended. Click to see pics in Post #133 and 143 The car is drivable, and gate is closed, but sensor doesn't think so. I will need to drive the car to the body shop, which will likely be 30-45 minutes. The beeping is very annoying, and surprisingly, is also heard outside at the rear. There must be a wire I can clip or disconnect? Thanks!!!

Maybe set System-System Volume to as low as it goes?

I would guess if your hazard lights are on (that was how gen 2 worked). Though then your hazard lights are on.

Appreciate the replies so far. What I am hoping to stop is the audio (beeping) ALERT that notifies the driver that the tailgate is not closed. This may or not be the same beep that alerts when the tailgate starts closing. Thank you..

One of the collision center estimators was able to close it more forcefully than I could and the beeping is gone, for now.

Did that solve it permanently? Having a similar issue where the trunk is closed but the car thinks it is open & beeps nonstop. (Internal system beeps, not the loud opening/closing beep)

I'm assuming you mean the 2020 Advance which I think comes with the hand free opener. If so double check the settings at Home screen. Select Settings > Vehicle > Power Tailgate Setup > Hands Free Access Power Tailgate > On.
To exit, press Home or Back. If it is set the way you like it I would purposely set it to something else, turn OFF the ignition, then go in and reset it the way you like. This often provides a reset function to a setting that although it appears to be correct, is corrupted.
