I have a 2021 RDX with 37k miles on it. Recently, the brake pedal started making a squeaky noise. I had already bought a new brake pedal switch and was planning to replace it over the weekend.
But yesterday a “Brake System Problem” warning came on, and the vehicle wouldn’t move like the brake pedal was fully pressed. I had to pull over and replace the switch right there on the side of the road. Luckily, I had the part in my glove box.
After taking a closer look, it seems like a design flaw—the metal contacts inside the switch were completely worn out.
If your brake pedal starts squeaking don’t wait until you’re stranded with locked wheels. Just replace the switch before it leaves you stuck.

Nice!
Would you happen to have the OEM part number for said brake pedal switch?
I can't quite make out whether there is any relevant part# data on those pics above?

I had the same problem last summer or the summer prior on my 2019. My dealership replaced the brake switch free of charge. Although the squeak was (relatively) quite, once you hear it, you know it's there and becomes more annoying than anything else.
