Greetings - I'm wondering if anyone w/ an A-Spec can tell me the outside dia of the round exhaust tips? I know the earlier versions of the non A-Spec had smaller round tips before the rectangle ones replaced them. I'm wondering about the larger A-Spec ones. Thx in advance
I have a 2021 RDX and the the bumper should clear it. Based on some older AZ posts, I think it's the right sized upgrade. I even considered painting the inside black to make them seem bigger.

Here's what 4.5" outer diameter looks like on my 21 Advance.
The angles kind of make them look off but they center up nicely in the bumper openings.

The taillights were done with a red tint kit, also from eBay. I took it off after about a year. It matches really well but it made the turn signals too dim for my liking. I tried just removing the signal parts but it didn't look right, so it all came off.
Here's another older thread w/ some info/pics. That convo indicated 4" for A-Spec (vs above at 4.75"), but perhaps that was the size on the older A-Spec models back then?
I don't have welding equipment - I suppose I could take the tips and car to a local muffler shop and have them grind-off/cut the existing tips and then tack on the new ones to the outlet pipes?
Have folks had decent success w/ the clamp-ons? I wonder if the weld-on ones could be cut/'slotted' like the clamp-on ones and just clamp them on?

I can't speak to that, but I measured my own car's exhaust tips to get the 4.75" outer diameter.

Mine are clamp on and have been fine for nearly two years. I used a dab of blue loctite when screwing down the clamps.

I saw that post too. I liked the 4" but you sold me on the 4.5" exhaust tips. It will make it more A-spec like. The 2021 tips (non A-spec) are screwed in but I plan to weld in the upgraded tips.
Just to confirm. 4" is most likely referring to inner diameter, at least on this tip. Unless, as someone else mentioned, the pre-'22 A-Spec tips were smaller overall.

Can you snap a pic of the whole back view of the car, bumper, tips, etc.?
Here's my finished project. Thanks to all here who helped, provided info, measurements, etc. It's not clean but you get the idea. The 'fish-eye' aspect of the camera/lens/etc. makes the tips look sorta off and crocked or mis-aligned but in reality, they look normal/aligned.
I went with clamp on tips. As the pic above shows, there is about a half-inch deep section of wider exhaust pipe where the OEM tips mounted. Once those were removed (I had a muffler shop remove them), I pushed/slid/forced the new tips onto that 1/2" platform of expanded pipe section (which was not easy - lots of scraping/pushing/twisting), rotated them to what I thought looked the best alignment and tightened the clamps. I honestly think I could/should slide them on a bit further to tuck them 'deeper' into the bumper cut-outs but this is where I landed for now.
Thanks - I'm very happy w/ the results/outcome. It was quite a bit of 'I've never done this before' work to do it - but as most out here on these forums, it's work we all like to figure out and do.
