Seat memory setttings lost

My son has a 2019 and the seat memory settings keep disappearing. He's had it into the dealer twice so far. One time the seat got stuck in his setting which made it very difficult for my daughter-in-law who is about 7" shorter. I think he's going to take it to a different dealer but I was wondering if this problem is unique to him or if others have experienced it.

Looks like no one has same problem. However, any driver should be able to adjust the seat manually. Try adjusting the setting to each extreme: Full back/full forward and full up and full down. Then set as needed. This may work.

Since the problem has occurred 3 times (twice after allegedly being fixed by an Acura dealer), I think he's going to try another dealer (or maybe even a Honda dealer) in the hopes they will have better diagnostic skills. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have not experienced this issue (only had the car for exactly a week now w/ approx. 300+ miles), but over this past weekend I did let my sister drive my car. My sister completely readjusted the driver seat changing my saved settings. Coming back into my car I thought I would need to readjust the seat back to my desired setting and save - being brand new to all the tech that cars are manufactured with nowadays I was surprised my settings readjusted automatically.

I do know that the car comes with 2 key fobs (Driver 1 & Driver 2), which correspond to the saved seat settings for the vehicle. Aside from the seat getting stuck or stuck in a setting, a possible alternate solution in the meantime/future is to maybe designate one of the fobs to your daughter-in-law. This will at least allow your daughter-in-law to save a personal seat setting to its perspective key fob instead of having to readjust every time she comes into the car.

I hope I was able to provide some insight and that you are able to resolve this problem soon.

The only time I had an issue with my 11 MDX memory seats being lost (no lost, not being illuminated) or not functioning properly was when my OEM battery voltage was low. Not sure why only the seat would be effected with low voltage compared to all other electronics; but, it would every single time. Zero issue since installing a new battery +4 years ago (replaced OEM with Interstate AGM battery).

I confirmed this by putting my MDX on a battery charger when the memory seat wasn't working and they started working again at max charge.
