WTF? seat won't return!

Its been happening for a while now lately. Only the drivers side. I drive with the seat nearly all the way to the rear. when I need something out of the back seat or someone needs to sit back there, I lift the seat tilt handle, and it tilts and slides forward, no problem. When I push it back, the seat back goes into the original position and then the whole seat starts to move back and then stops. I hit the memory seat button, and it moves into the right position. I check for change or anything that might be on the track or in the way, but nothing! there is still a lot of grease under there. anyone have this problem? it happens everytime.
can anyone help?
Thanks

i've noticed if you sit down on the seat before it returns to the normal position, it starts to move forward again.

hmmm

My co-pilot seat does that... .. It never returns all the way back ... I found if there is any resistance at all the seat will not return all the way back... Sometimes it works and other times it does not...

I never looked into it.. I just adjusted it and forgot about.

Get it to dealer... It should be fixed under warranty.

BTW my car seat had its seat back's recline motor broken AT THE DEALER... I dropped my CLS there and the next day at the delivery the seat's motor is broken.

I came back a day later and the serive manager claimed ignorance/coincidence and it is scheduled tp be replaced tomorrow.

I've also noticed that the parking brake (on 6MT) needs to be pulled up in order for the memory buttons to work with 1 push. If the brake isn't engaged, you need to keep your finger on the memory button until the seats and mirrors move to the settings.

I have also noticed that the seats sometimes don't move after I push the backs back. Maybe I was in gear or something and the brake wasn't pulled. Other times I needed the door to be opened in order for the seat to slide back after the seat back is pushed back to the upright position.

I guess I need to play around with it more to see what causes it not to work.

Thanks guys, but my brake is always up when parked and I usually just stand there untill the seat is all the way back. but yeah, any resistance, it'll stop. Part of acura rear passenger safety thangs I guess. I tried to help it move back, and it goes just fine, so I think its a resistance issue. I'll call my service manager tomorrow. They all know me over there. This is my fifth Acura!

This may sound stupid, but check the little button inside your door wells that detect whether or not the door is open. I had my driver's side button sticking, and the seat wouldn't move when flipping it forward with the handle. This may not be the same problem as you are seeing, but you never know. I also observed things like the dome light not coming on and a lack of the "ding-dong your lights are on" warning.

I had that button replaced on my 7,500 mile service last year and it hasn't been a problem since. YMMV.
