This morning I tried to start my car with the app so that it would warm up a bit before I went for a drive, but I got three separate “remote command failed” messages. I was irritated but when I went out to the car I found it running. That made me even more irritated; it’s one thing not to be able to start your car remotely, but it’s actually a much larger security and safety issue if the car is running without your knowledge. This doesn’t instill much confidence in Acura’s app. Certainly I’m not going to pay for it after the trial is over.

 

Was your phone near anything that would possibly cause some interference or was your phone in a dead spot? Done it many times. My app has worked flawlessly since the app redesign. I use the app and key fob depending on the cars location. It could have been a server error on their end.

 

When using my Acura app for remote start, I get locked out. Need to stop the remote start from app and then it allows me to go in.
