AcuraLink App FAIL

Opened the AcuraLink app up to start the car and cool it down and I see this. The App says the car is already running and has almost an hour left to run! I went out to check and the car was NOT running. All this before I even tried to tell the car to start. Can the App screw up and start the car on it's own?

C'mon Acura, I paid $110 for the remote start capability, you guys have to do better than this. I have had the failed to connect message quite a few times as well, but thats much more acceptable than getting wrong info about the car. What about when someone checks to see if their doors are locked and they aren't??

BTW I named my RDX January 21 because that's when I bought it.

This is one reason I did not purchase $110 annual package after the 6 months trial ran out. AccuraLink app is getting better but reliability is still a major issue. I might consider using the service once Acura get their act together. Now I just use my remote start fob. Nice to get a better range than 330 ft with the fob.

Did you try stopping the engine, or sending any remote command, just to see what would happen?

I've been using the app as much as possible because my trial runs out at the end of the month. It's been almost flawless. But then, cell coverage here is as good as anywhere. I think one time I got a fail to connect but it worked on the retry. I'm certainly going to get the remote package.

I re-upped my remote access since I have been very happy with how it works.

Another thing that might help is swiping down from the top again like you are trying to refresh a web page. It's possible it got some bad data from the server.
Like Madd Dog, I re-upped the remote access, as it has come in handy a few times. There have been several times where I was parked blocks away and was able to remote start, coming back to a nice cool vehicle.

I used it quite a bit during the trial period and it worked more than 90% of the time. The only errors would be an occasional fail to connect error and since I park in a multi-story concrete structure at work I just felt cell signal strength was the problem.

I didn't tray any other commands from the app after I saw the car was not running as I was on my way to work and had to leave.
