I am thinking of getting a remote starter for my tsx. Is there any downside to having a remote start? And i thought you couldnt start the car without the electronic signal from the key?


Also I need some recommendations on a remote starter. I would like one of those fancy ones with the lcd remote/2 way pager/ and possibly the ability to use my cell phone to start the car. I dont want a fancy ass alarm. In fact I would be happy with just the remote start feature.

 

If you have a MT TSX it might be tough to do since the engine start is interlocked with the engagement of the clutch.
Also just like the remote lock/unlock is vurnerable to interception so is a remote start. The easier you make it for yourself to start the car the easier it gets for thieves also.

I think you may have an issue with the key not being in the ingnition. There must be away around this since some high end cars have the same key system yet they have remote start capability.
