Question when reversing

I have a 2019 tech package. I didn’t notice until today that my driver side mirror tilts down when putting the car in reverse. The passenger side doesn’t move. I’ve had the car for about a month and do not remember seeing the driver side moving until now. Is this standard for one mirror to move? Is there a setting to toggle this on/off? Is something up with the passenger side mirror? 🤔

"If activated, either side door mirror automatically tilts downward when you put the transmission into R; this improves close- in visibility on the selected side of the vehicle when backing up. The mirror automatically returns to its original position when you take the transmission out of R.

To activate this feature, set the power mode to ON and slide the selector switch to the left or right side."

The switch you move over to adjust a specific side mirror ... if it's left to one side, it will lower that side's side mirror down when shifted into reverse. If you don't want it to lower for either, then put the selector in the middle. I don't believe it's possible to have them both go down.

Ah ok that makes sense because I did adjust the mirror and that’s when it started moving down. Thank you!
