I am in CT and have been working with several dealers with no luck in getting any sort of discount like we see on this site. I worked at least 4 dealers last year, and then again this year. The best I have done is a discount of $2000 or $3000. Then the dealer wants to tack on all of the fees. So getting around 43K with all fees and before taxes would be excellent, but I have not gotten anyone this low, much less in the $40k - $41k range. I think that in this area the car is still hot and they don't feel that they have to offer it for less.

I have read about some in CT going out of state and getting lower....I believe around $42k with all fees. If I get an RDX I think that I am heading out of state.

You might get the best price right before the 2021 model comes out if there are any 2020 A-Specs left. Let us know if you find one in that range because at that price I would probably pull the trigger.

I'm thinking getting quote from NY. Please let me know if you find any good deals. I'm looking into 2020 A-Specs Blue color with Spare tire or maybe just a 2020 MDX Tech. Maybe need to wait a little longer until Late April.

Financing with dealer stipulations

I am in talks to buy a 2020 RDX Tech package with heated steering wheel and remote start. I have told multiple dealers of my price of $39,900 and that includes the installed accessories. One of the dealers has agreed to this price but they have a stipulation. I must finance through Honda/Acura and keep the loan for at least 6 months. My question is, can they force me to do that? What if I take the loan and then pay off $30,000 in the first month? When I called hondafinancialservices directly, they told me that I can pay off the loan at any time and many people do that.

Any any insight would be appreciated.

When I bought my Volvo this past yr the sales manager said 1 can pay it off ASAP..I think by law, one has that right. But he told me, they get dinged on their commission if it gets paid off before 3 months. So he gave me a nice discount and I agreed to keep the loan for 3 months....He said just pay 99% of it off....then pay it off after 3 months.... Good luck on the purchase

Just brought home a 2020 RDX FWD Tech, $38,500 out the door with 1.9% 36 months financing from Honda. Includes 5 oil changes and tire rotations. Also got the all-weather mats and cargo liner, which are both disappointing. Very lightweight.

We just bought our first Acura ever today. I thought we got a pretty good deal. It was a CPO loaner vehicle. Being a CPO, the warranty is extended an additional 2 years or 50,000 miles. Plus they were offering 0.99% interest on all CPO's.

Hi Peter! Did you finance the car or lease? I called the dealership (Chevy Chase Acura) and told them about your price but they said because it was lease they were able to give out for $43,750. I asked for $46K OTD for purchase but they declined.

2020 RDX SH-AWD Aspec (premium paint color)
MSRP $47,425
Dealer Discount off MSRP <$5,000> 10.5%
Conquest Rebate <$1,000>
Sales price: $41,425
TT&L Dealer Fee: $3K
OTD $44,500
Dealer included Window Tint(front), Cargo Cover and installed Spare Tire Kit at no charge to seal deal.

Thanks for all the other replies, this thread was very helpful to learn the range of what the discounts should fall in off MSRP. In my research going back to beginning it appears 9-12% was the sweet spot for the MSRP discount.

I purchased from Rosenthal for 44,500 OTD with MD tax (6%) and that was for the premium paint too. I did receive loyalty ($1500), holiday (750) and finance (1500) rebates to arrive at that price. I don't think holiday cash is available so theoretically, your $46K OTD should be doable, but will probably need to be done in person.

Refinance Acura Dealer Loan

I've seen a few posts about refinancing a Dealer Loan. I have a great offer with rebates, discounts, etc. but the Acura Dealer has a high-interest rate to get the rebates/discounts. Is it possible to take the offer and interest rate, then refinance the loan shortly after the purchase with a bank or credit union without any penalties?

Yes, you can refinance your Acura loan any time at a lower rate with your own band/credit union. As suggested on another thread, you can look on your loan documents to ensure there isn't a early payment penalty (I think most loans don't have that)
When I bought in Dec 2019, the incentive was either take Acura loan and get $1500 rebate or get 0.9% financing for 60 months. In my case, it would have been a better deal to have taken the 0.9% even though I received 3.14% for 60 months from Acura. I simply didn't do the math and made the wrong decision.

Awd rdx advance package

2020 RDX AWD Advance $45,800 OTD. I only got $1500 rebate for 3.14% for 60 months instead of 0.9% without rebate.

37.5k before taxes and fees. This included the 1500 Acura financing incentive. The trade in was fairly priced.

Acura incentives and rebates are a total B.S - only working with MANY dealers will get u better price ...... but after all a dealer finds a way to ..... up anyway and after a month of ownership the car is not even worth that money with all of the problems

Acura makes it hard to find out their rebates/incentives. You have to rely on dealer.
Makes sense to go to multiple dealers

That's why it is more important for us all to report our experiences so to let other users know what's out there and available.

Better than discussing price, let me give some advice from someone that did purchase one two months ago. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. It's being sold with known problems in materials, design, and manufacturer. Buy Mazda, buy BMW, buy Volvo, buy GM, buy ANYTHING else. it's an abomination.

For a 2020 new RDX with Advanced package, I was quoted a "blow out" price of $41,788 + $699 dealer fee and + taxes and registration.

This is the best deal I've seen, not that I've looked through all the posts here, but I was hoping to find a 2019 CPO for $40k-$41k. Any reasons to wait on this?

I've found some 2019 Advanced CPO RDX's out there. I did see a blue A Spec for just over 38k but really want the Advanced. I need a car no later than this summer as I'm giving my 2010 MDX to my oldest daughter who will be getting her license.

It sounds like a great price, but buyer beware there lots of problems with this model. I wish we bought an MDX instead of this '20 RDX.

Unrelated, post your issues to problems and fixes to get help or reply to the buyer remorse thread.

I would suggest Moving Target to hold off. Economy is crashing, dealership will be under pressure soon if not already. Wait a month and you will probably see 0% APR or bigger discount. If the quote you got is for FWD model, the discount seems ok but not particularly good. I would shoot for at least 4.5k discount today, and more in the near future. If it is AWD, then indeed great price.

It's for an AWD Advanced package. It's like a 5k discount.
