No update for me yet
Am I the only one not to get the new update. I’m curious if I’m the only one? I have contacted Acura Clint services, but they just kicked up up another level. Still waiting to hear back!
Maybe the poll should have US & Canada options. Seems like Canadians are possibly different group getting updates later.
Or I don't know, maybe it's based on the model year of the car, or something else.
I got mine earlier this week. 2020 Tech, purchased in October 2019. White, with all-weather floormats (maybe that's the difference?)

For example I didn't get access to the last update for a full month after it was released in the US. Was that because I am Canadian, or was that because Acura wanted to look after the 2019 owners before moving on to the 2020 owners. I also understand that the countries are subdivided into regions ( South-East, Pacific, etc.) which could release the update at various times to prevent overloading the software servers.

Yeah, the PC in the back office gets a little cranky if you ask it to do something.
I'm still on 1.1.2. Never been able to get an update over wifi or OTA (which is always grayed out anyway). The USB method doesn't work for me either. It's not like I live in the middle of Wyoming or Saskatchewan. Something's wrong and I don't think it's me. I'm going in for my A1 service next week so I'll see.
What email? I don't get any emails. Ever. Not from the owner's site, no messages there, not from AcuraLink, etc. I get spam from local dealers, that's it. Who sends you emails about updates?

To me, it sounds like you are not hooked up in Acura’s systems.
Same. I got car around Sept, but it showed update. I click on it, and it says no update. Then I try again and it says it's up to date.
The false update notification is an item that is listed as fixed in the update. Are you in Canada? I bet Canadians will get this update in the next 3 weeks, as has been the history.

I don't like missing out on all the fun.
Yeah, I dunno. I have an account at the Owner's Site, I have an active subscription to the AcuraLink app, so I don't know what else there needs to be. Maybe the stealer was supposed to do something else when I bought the car but I'll be there next week.

This is the same email and instructions I got but for some reason when I checked the car after the update, AA was already showing in the display homepage. We still haven't tried it because we've never had AA and we need to order a cable and install the app on our phones.

To get the e-mail notifications, I think you need to have a registered account at owners.acura.com. And I think your dealer salesperson should have set that up for you during delivery, but AFAIK you can DIY.

There is a "communication preferences" page where you can select what kind of notifications you wish to receive.
If you got the e-mail, there is a convenient link to a personal settings page.
"You have received this email because you signed up to receive information from Acura. To update your communication preferences or to opt out of future promotional email from Acura," xxxxxx

Yeah, for example, there's a setting for how you want the folding mirrors to operate (auto, manual, etc.). But it could still be the same software image and it's just handled by hardware detection. If you do the 3-finger-salute, there's hardware detection diagnostic.
OOPS!! I actually did receive the email on the 5th. My Thunderbird client wasn't logged in to that account. I was wondering what happened to all the spam.
So apparently, I'm as connected as I need to be. I just wonder if I'm not doing something stupidly obvious in order to get updates. I don't think so.

Tried
I tried that too. I even reset the navi system to factory default settings. Still no updates. Hmm.... not sure how much I want to rush this. I submitted a ticket to Acura and will wait. Worse come to worse, I'll wait till my first oil change to bring it up at the dealer
